    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

Thanks for sharing. I’m always looking for other swap examples but haven’t seen that one. I guess I’ll have to look into porting my supercharger now! lol

    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

Thanks, glad to hear you’re doing the same. Hopefully parts lead times are getting better. Try to order all you can early. I got hung up waiting on a couple

    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

Thanks. I’ve had to accept that’s it’s going to take a long time no matter what. Trying to slow down and enjoy it

    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

used identical CSF racing coolers on each side between the bumper brackets behind the valance. One for oil, one for Aux SC. The factory hellcats have 2 SC coolers. I see most swaps only using a center main but I wanted to try to mimic the factory system as much as possible. These csf coolers...

    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

Yes! Thanks for interest. I don’t post as much as I should Mock up is complete as far as Im going to take it. Plumbed supercharger cooling using -12 nylon AN. Ran lines behind fender and hid as much as possible. I wanted to fabricate the resovior and hide that but ended up using factory...

    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

Wiper motor relocation to under the dash - Lots of sidebar projects to this swap. This one took some time to get the alignment right, but I’m happy with the results. I used a 90’s Jeep Wrangler motor and made a bracket. Welded to underside of cowl. Kept the welds cold to avoid burn thru, so...

1968 Barracuda / Hellcat Redeye swap project

I’m doing this swap now. As others have said, I highly recommend an aftermarket K. I’m running HDK. This will give you way more room for headers, starter, steering, etc. There is also hood clearance. Even with the aftermarket k’s you will have to modify motor mounts to clear a stock hood...

    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

Wow! viper motor, that would be a project but very cool. Yeah the hellcat appears to be the similar to any gen III swap other than the supercharger cooling and hood clearance. I’ll post on that next.

'70 Dart 392 Project; what direction?

Nice, moving along. I’m about to do the mini tub for the first time too, so watching close. Did you use a cut off wheel or body saw?

'70 Dart 392 Project; what direction?

The Mancini starter fit very well for me and gives lots of clearance for TTI. I did have to trim the block as others have said

    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

Started mocking up the supercharger cooling system. Main heat exchanger is from a zL1 Camaro. Aux is a heavy duty oil cooler. I think I will mount it behind the valence and cut in a air duct Using drag race style in line water pump that flows similar to the stock hellcat pump but is 1/3...

    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

Engine is in the car! Fits surprisingly well even though it looked massive on the stand. No cutting required except the typical frame notch for alternator. Everything on firewall had to go. Master cylinder has to shift

    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

I used the truck dipstick. Installed direct to block after removing plug. Reused the factory windage tray/gasket since motor is new. Also installed mopar 90 filter adapter for kframe clearance

    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

Got the Stefs oil pan. Loooong wait, but I think it was worth it. Nice quality. Swapping to mid sump requires changing the pick up as most of you know. I used new main cap bolts as a precaution. Although after researching I think old ones can be reused. They are torque+angle, not torque to...

    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

I agree lead times have been a little frustrating. I only get to work on mine about 1 day a week so it hasn’t held me up too bad yet. I bought the mopar crate harness/ecu. For fuel I plan to use the walbro 450 in-tank. I haven’t started wiring or fuel yet. I’ve been working on motor fitment...

    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

Thanks, I should be good reusing the SB quick time. You will be happy with the magnum. I ran mine for a few years with the small block with no issues. I thrashed on it pretty hard. Definitely worth taking the time to dial it in for smoother shifts. I learned that the hard way

    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

Update - Pulled old motor, ordered a bunch of parts. Installed Schwartz Intercooler manifold. Stefs oil pan and TTI headers both back ordered. Keeping me from test fitting motor I want to clean up firewall. Hoping to keep factory air set up, but not sure if lines will conflict where they...

    Hellcat Swap Into 72 Demon

I bought a hellcat crate this week after several years of dreaming and saving! I'm in the planning stage and collecting parts to swap into my Demon. I will document as much as I can here. I've learned a lot from others' build threads - thank you I've installed HDK, T56, subframe connectors...
