    Proper exhaust tip placement

My 68 Cuda didn't have dual exhaust from the factory but I have installed a dual exhaust system and am ready to install a set of factory styled exhaust tips and factory style hangers but not sure exactly how far back to locate them. Can anybody post a picture of exactly where the hanger is...

    thumbwheel radio question

Good suggestion Bill but I got real lucky today. A buddy stopped by that's restoring a 68 Cuda and I mentioned I needed a radio and he had a decent looking one from his he isn't going to use and gave it to me. Couldn't pass that price up.

That's an interesting way to do it. I can't seem to come up with one that's right so I may have to go that route also. Thanks, Tracy

    thumbwheel radio question

I'd like to restore my 68 Cuda dash to original and need a thumbwheel radio to do so. Can anybody tell me if they are all the same or will only a Cuda thumbwheel radio fit?

    how to dye carpet???

Thanks for all the tips guys. I know submerging it would be the best but I'd sure love it if I didn't have to take the car apart again so I think I'll try the method of doing it in the car and see how it turns out. Badwawg I appreciate that hint also but I'm not sure if I can figure out what...

    how to dye carpet???

My lovely wife bought me a real nice set of custom floor mats for our Cuda and they fit great but there's one problem. The carpet that's about 5 yrs. old now has faded a bit. Does anybody know an easy way to dye it to get the black looking black again instead of dark grey? Thanks, Tracy

    Need weatherstripping

Howco4 I'll check with Jim's too. Thanks for the tip. Dorian I've looked on E-bay and haven't seen them but e-bay changes every couple of days. I'll look again. If you run across them post a link here if you don't mind. Thanks, Tracy

    Need weatherstripping

Yeah ain't that lovely. That's pretty much in the ballpark of everybody I've seen so far. The vent seals seem to be the most expensive seals on the car.

    Need weatherstripping

I checked the Paddock online and couldn't find them. Found every other seal but them. I think tomorrow I'm going to call all around and see who has them and the best price. Thanks, Tracy

    Need weatherstripping

Ok I'll check out steelrubber products. Haven't heard of them. If I can't find it anywhere else I may look at Layson's. But the way he's treated some of the members here I'm not crazy about giving him my money. Thanks for the info, Tracy

Thanks Redfish. I forgot to look there. I found what they list but their listing is a little vague so tomorrow I'll call them and see if they can give me a little more info.

    Need weatherstripping

I need the weatherstripping that seals the vent windows on my 68 Cuda. I've looked a few places but haven't found it. Anybody know a place to buy this. I'm tired of hearing the vent windows whistling when were driving down the road. Actually I wouldn't mind buying a complete rubber seal set...

Man it's looking good Adam!!!! Now aren't you glad you kept it!!! Just think how nice it's gonna look when you get it all done. And how great it will stop with those new brakes and how great it will run with that new 340!!!!!!:burnout:

That's the way I had to look at mine Adam. Just take it one part at a time. Mine was a basket case when I got it and when I tore into it I was overwhelmed. It took me 3-1/2 yrs. (1 year had to take off due to a family emergency) so really it took me 2-1/2 yrs. to do the work. The most time...

Adam it's looking great just keep on plugging along:thumrigh: . I know how that working 6 days a week can be though. Went through that the first year and a half I had my Cuda. Makes it hard to get things done. My Cuda had alot of rust too. Alot more in the fender apron areas than yours and inner...
