Ok. I have never found the correct engine paint for my Dart. But I have 2 spray cans that when I mix them, I get the color I'm looking for. So, the question is, how can I remove the propellent safety, and then the paint itself? Has anyone done this?

Thanks for all the input. I think I will be still considering the stainless, due to rust resistance. Living in Florida, I am constantly chasing rust issues on any piece of hardware, and anywhere paint may have gotten scraped off.

You should look at the episode of Engine Masters on mufflers. Flowmaster was rated very low.

So, I took my exhaust off from the collectors to the mufflers. It weighs a ton. 3 inch with an X pipe. Is stainless lighter than mild steel? Enough to be a benefit? Enough to justify replacing the mild steel with stainless, considering the cost, and work?

I think the cigarette lighter is live all the time, so connecting it there may be a draw on your battery. I would wire it to a switched circuit.
