what is needed to turn my 8.25 with 2.45 gears non sure grip into a 8.25 with 3.55 sure grip so far i have found out that i need a suregrip differential carrier and a set of 3.55 ring and pinion gears. what else would i need.

So far I have had to shorten the rod that connects under the car from the bracket to the transmission...they had put the exhaust in the way

The car had a b&m hammer shifter I pulled out and bought a coffin console for it with correct brackets

i have searched and seen the auto to manny swap but my 72 demon had a manny in it and was swapped to a 727 with b&m shifter with a cable...i am trying to put a floor shifter into a manual hump...if that makes any sense...has anyone done this and if so what kind of mods did you have to do to get...

well i have a 340 727 combo with an 8 1/4 in my demon right now and it is not sure grip with 2.45 gears so i need something bigger and i got this rear end sitting here with no axles in it so just wondering if it would be more money to shorten or try and find an 8 3/4

so is it worth shortening

so i had a guy give me this rear end he says its a 9 1/4....he said its a step above an 8 3/4 but a step below a dyna 60

i felt up in there i had to squeeze my hand in there and feel around i just went and double checked and there are 10 bolts and its pretty rounded no flat ends so im guessing its a 8 1/4 but does the gear ratio sound right

i cant see the cover only about 2 inches of clearance there are those numbers useless

i was reading another thread and thought i had a 7 1/4 rear end but after reading it i counted 10 bolts.... its a 72 demon that had a /6 and it had a gear tag of 2.45
