1966 Valiant Sedan V8 Swap (Victoria)

To me it has more heart and soul, recovered like that instead of pricey OEM covers or switching to buckets.

    1966 Barracuda Formula S paint

Wow you don't mess around. '66 one-year style with all the knife-edge lines it has is very cool.

    1966 Barracuda Formula S paint

Capt if you get new leafs, stock height from ESPO will lift it just right. +1" takes it over the top and throws the handling off which would be a shame. Just my 2 cents.

New carpet makes a world of difference, especially the red! Regarding the springs, I got mine from ESPO, like everyone else says, they were extremely helpful and shipped fast. I got +1" and it gave a very noticeable rake and changed the handling, neither of which was an improvement. If you get...

    my 65 Barracuda

Tell them, Tommy! That this is how it's going to be, I worked hard so I could enjoy my retirement, I'm going to be spending a lot of time finishing my car now, if you want me to babysit and run errands I can do that a couple days a week and let's figure out which days.

Don't judge me on my interior choices...

As long as you like it...my family's '66 came with ostrich-grain inserts in the door panels. It would bother me to see it on the dash top. But looking forward to see your finished product. Nice to see something different.

Congrats! Re: the brightness of the yellow, IMO after a little time you will become accustomed to it and like it, also once the trim, chin spoiler etc is on it will look great.

    1972 Plymouth Valiant 4door

Welcome, yours is just the kind of Valiant I'd like to find. A white painted top stays cooler in the hot sun, and it also makes the car more visible to other motorists, adding a bit of peace of mind that someone would be less likely to pull out in front of you, or not see you...

Well dang. I'm bummed, I can imagine how you feel. When I had my '65 painted, a few small issues I decided to live with, for my own mental health. But there were some things I insisted they fix and they agreed.

Kudo's for doing all you did yourself! That's a cool photo of Salma, hope to see the "after" taken coming out of the shop. Here's a thread I found searching "butyl" because that's the sealant you must use, not acrylic or whatever else. On this thread is says use butyl tape not the liquid caulk...
