Here is another...does this axle actually have one ?

Odd. On this diagram there isn't a vent...maybe it f\goes where the screw is..

Ok...so a) the spline should have some grease on it b) we back off the coupler a bit and rotate the steering wheel until we feel it mesh.. i don't remember there being a key lite on the car...should there be one ? There may be an opps here... I rebuilt the column and didn't notice a light..I...

It is hard enough for me to remember what I did last year but trying to remember what my son did when we took the car apart...no way. Problem....we are installing the steering shaft ... We did not lose the pin that holds the shaft to the power steering unit and the coupler was not taken off...

Rather than putting the jack stands under the suspension, put the under the frame so there is no load on the suspension (or tires).

Well we dropped the car down on all 4s tonight (to give us a break from fabbing the seats to fit) and was surprised that we had no front suspension movement to speak of. I cannot believe how easy it is to work on the engine at this height :) Anyway, I had it at it's lowest level looking to see...

I did it the same way that zkx did...I couldn't put them back in the car and I was a bit concerned with what I would do with them in a vise..anyway..took it to my mechanic ...left them there for a week..and when I picked them up..no charge... That was one of the very few things I have subbed out..

Sorry for late response...have been flat on my back... Here are all my p/s brackets. I think the top one many be for a BB. I had originally thought the group on the bottom left was all that were needed but it didn't look right when installed on the engine. They are a slightly different...

I had a heck of a time as well...my garage guys got it off easily and just charged a few bucks..

Actually, everything went on well except for the tightness of the UCAs...but really, only time will tell. We flipped a coin on poly vs rubber. I really wish it were. I included a pic when I talked ti him..and then there are in instructions..worse comes to worse, I will have premature failure...

Awesome suggestion Crackedback, the all thread gizmo worked perfectly...it opened up the holder quite nicely and a few taps of the BFH got it in.. The bolts go from the inside outward correct ? The outside washer doesn't want to fit because of the ridge on the outside of the ears...should I...

Ok. It almost looks to me that there is too much of the bushing sticking past the opening ...I would have to compress the spread of the two bushings to make it fit or is this normal ? It is about the same on the other side. So I toss these and go with normal rubber bushings..and if i did...
