    Bucket seats.

Good point. I just looked at the material.

    Bucket seats.

Pretty sure those are standard covering 69 Barracuda seats. Here are mine.

    Bucket seats.

@Mike the pol, RhinoMan68 is RIGHT!. Don't forget to reinforce those holes. You definitely cannot use the console with the bench seat. But trust me when I say that you will LOVE the buckets and console.

all I have to say is when buying an old car dont trust anyone about its history

At the very most. I always tell people here that if you cannot hear an engine run, you need to assume it needs a complete rebuild. If you cannot put a transmission in gear and feel it move the car, you must assume it needs a complete rebuild. Same with brakes and all suspension. comments like...

How to Choose a Mopar Restoration Shop?

Go to a few big Mopar shows and ask a LOT of people if they had a shop restore their car. Then talk to all of the ones who did. Exchange phone numbers with them if you can in case you think of other questions later. Even the shops that are not "Big name" will be expensive.

I guess the question would be, why. I am rather curious.

67-69 barracuda front clip on 74 dodge dart

In my opinion, the answer is yes. But it depends on how good you are at major body work. You can get a 66 Mustang front end on your 74 Dart if you are good enough, but you will be doing a LOT of cutting, fabricating, welding and grinding. Will the Barracuda fenders bolt on? Probably, but they...

    My Dad's 67 Satellite- A bittersweet day

This really touched me. I had a really bad relationship with my father. You don't know how lucky you are. Proudly own the car and keep it looking good always. Take your dad for rides as often as you can. Cherish him while you can.

Signs you're getting old for Classic Car Owners

A sign that I am getting older? When I see a decent price on a project car I would like to have and say no because I know it will be a lot of work.

    Mopar Action subscription

Did they at least let you know in advance, or did they just screw you over like Mopar Muscle did me? How many months do/did they owe you?

    Mopar Action subscription

Mopar Action is done??? I thought that @JoePole1 was giving a free subscription to Mopar Action in this post?

    Mopar Action subscription

How is Mopar Action? I used to subscribe to both Mopar Action and Mopar Muscle about 25 years ago and decided to drop Mopar action. I stuck with Mopar Muscle up to the time they screwed me. About 7 years ago, they just stopped making the magazine. I had 2.5 years coming to me, and I got NO...

Does anyone like 4 door A body mopes?

That's easy. you enter the driver's door, and that leaves 3 doors for three lady friends.

Does anyone like 4 door A body mopes?

I love 4 door cars. At car shows, I find myself drawn to them. If I had the room for another car, it would probably be a 67-70 Plymouth Fury or Chrysler 4 door HT.

Buy a car without physically seeing it

None of my business, but don't buy it! You can do SO MUCH BETTER for $35,000. Even if I LOVED 66 Barracudas and that was exactly what I wanted, I still would not pay $20,000 for it.

Buy a car without physically seeing it

That looks like an $18-20 thousand dollar car to me. I would expect a practically flawless car for $35,000.

    who does rechroming

VERY expensive! But like the OP said, sometimes you don't have any choice.

    Quick Question..

The temp, oil pressure and gas gauges in many of our old Mopars work by allowing current to flow through gauge into the sending unit (which does NOT send anything) into a ground. Technically the 'sending unit' is just a switch that allows current to flow to a ground, but I'll call it a sending...

    Quick Question..

I have ALWAYS done that, but I do it after the engine is in and wired. The time to find out you have an electrical gremlin is now, not when you start the engine for the first time. I put in the battery and test everything; all lights, instruments, turn signals, horn, heater/AC fan, etc. If there...

    Any Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) Recommendations?

It is good that you are considering some type of inspection before purchase. Too entice a member to look at it for you, you might try a new post with a different title. Something like, “Anybody interested in looking at a car in northern Washington state for me?” The title of your current post...

AM radio to Bluetooth.. or other ideas.

Let me tell you what I did. It costs less than $100 and gives you amazing music. I have an app on my phone called AccuRadio ( Free Internet Radio | AccuRadio Online ). It has several hundred substations. For instance, If you like Classic Rock and Roll of the 50s, 60s and 70s, there are at least...

I used to take or leave notchbacks, but since being on this forum and seeing pictures of a lot of them, I have changed mi mind. How much lighter is the notch than the FB???

General P.I.T.A. but SO worth it.

First of all, nice work on that dash piece. I have found that a fine tip silver paint pen works quite well. So you have been accused of having a Midlife Crisis??? I call BULLCRAP on that. By definition, a crisis is something bad. @CFD244 beat me to saying that getting a new hobby/project car is...

    Method for Starting a Project

There really can't be an answer to this question without knowing a lot more, but I'll build a little on what a few others have already said. The way I see it, it REALLY depends on 3 things. 1) How far are you taking it, 2) What are you starting with, and 3) How much can you afford to spend. If I...

    Rust! Should I sell it?

Thanks. That's great. It's just what I wanted to hear. I love doing major rust repair. It's kind of like therapy. Plus you get huge satisfaction when you are done. Dig in and fire up the welder. You won't be sorry. If you lived closer, I'd come over and help.

    Rust! Should I sell it?

I guess I am not a very smart man either. Because I do not understand what is going on here. The Op complains about the rust and is considering selling the car because of it. 1. What did you want when you were looking? Did you want a nice driver? Did you want a decent driver? Or did you want a...
