    Single or double?

I can see from here that the outer groove would line up better. Try it.

02 CJ Beeping when battery is low?????

A widow friend of my wife called me with this question. She has a 2002 jeep CJ. If it matters, it has the 4.0 six, manual transmission and not much of more. Lately, the battery has been draining down, and she has to charge the battery or jumpstart it frequently. She got a new battery for it a...

    Plug cleaning

Plugs are so cheap (relatively), I would not waste my time cleaning them.

    Tail light stay on

Sounds more like brake lights. Barring any electrical shorts, if current was being sent to the taillights, I would think you would likely see the front running lights on also.

Has anyone tried making the hole in their radiator housing larger to fit a larger radiator?

When I bought my 69 Barracuda about 33 years ago, it had a pretty good sized radiator in it. I assumed it was a 22" out of a B or E model. It did JUST fit from side to side, but about 1.5-2" of the core was blocked on each side. I stripped the entire car down to bare metal both times I painted...

    Value of the MSD

I totally agree with @Ricks70Duster340 about the ease of changing the advance springs. I have a 69 4 speed Barracuda with a 340 modified to about 375HP. About 5 years ago I bought an entire MS setup (6 Box, distributor, plug wires and coil). The difference was noticeable. Starts up way...

    I need electrical help.

I just saw his comment, Del. I am glad you saw it earlier and issued the warning. Could the fuse box get hot if the fuseable link was bypassed/deleted? Hey, @1973Kathleen, @67Dart273 is an electrical expert. heed his warning. If I were you, I would have a way set up to pull the positive battery...

Please help!! 1971 340 duster having major ignition wiring headaches.

@sassygrnduster, listen carefully to what @67Dart273 says. I am pretty good with automobile electrics, and he has forgotten more than I'll ever know.

    I need electrical help.

I agree with what everybody above has said. I would add that you should get a multimeter, if you don't already have one. Don't make any assumptions as you start to run the diagnosis. It could be a bad connection at the Firewall plugs, a bad switch, bad ground, bad bulb/horn, etc. You need to...

gap for plugs - MSD box & dist.

Thanks for taking the time to update us on your decision. So often we have someone ask a question, there is a lot of dialog and we never hear how it turned out. Thanks.

gap for plugs - MSD box & dist.

I have a 69 Barracuda with a moderately modified 340 and a complete MSD system. I used MSDs recommendation and went with 0.045. My car runs great.

    Heater/ AC wiring

For us to be able to help you, we need some information. 1. What is the Make, Model and year of the car. 2. What is the problem? All we know is that you said, "what brings power to the heater/AC", and that you tried a bunch of things. Do you mean the fan motor isn't working? Do you mean the AC...

    MSD "ready to run" system

Yes. I installed the MSD system (including MSD wires) in my 69 Barracuda with a moderately modified 340. I followed MSD's suggestion of bypassing the ballast as mentioned by @abodyjoe. The improvement was marked. Instant starts, better idle and better throttle response. It's been about 4 years...

    wiring check

I cannot answer for a 72 Dart, but the brake lights on a 69 Barracuda go through the turn signal switch. After a complete restoration about 9 years ago, I was going to take the car for a test drive, but there were no brake lights or turn signals. After hours of testing and looking at a wire...

    Wiper motor wiring

Mike, look at the How-To article I posted a few months ago on how to rebuild a 69 Barracuda 2 speed wiper motor. It includes a detailed description on how to test the motor. Here is a teaser, but read the article. It is pretty detailed. If push comes to shove, send me a PM. MAKE SURE THE WIPER...

I hope Mopar horns are the same. I assume they can't be too different. I think I'll post a how to with more pictures. It will probably be next week.

Today I Blew Apart and Fixed an Inoperable Horn. It Was Easy.

I accept the challenge. Do you have one that doesn't work? I mean, if it already isn't working, how much damage could I do?

Today I Blew Apart and Fixed an Inoperable Horn. It Was Easy.

Thanks. I have looked around, and about all I can find is hard steel rivets that are really hard to pound into shape. I need to find something softer. These rivets drilled out very easily.

Today I Blew Apart and Fixed an Inoperable Horn. It Was Easy.

A friend of mine has a 1981 Chevy short bed step side pickup. He bought it new, but it hasn’t run in about 15 years. We have been working on it for about a year to get it running and driving again. To do so, we have taken a break from restoring his 56 Studebaker Powerhawk. We went through the...

    Changing dash light bulbs

Amen, brother. That is one of my favorite bits of advice. I also always tell people to wear eye protection while working under the dash. There is all kinds of crap that can easily fall down into your eyes.
