Made some progress today in preparation to install dash.

Cliff installed my Pembina decal @ MCACN last November before the show opened! He designed my info banner for my 72 Dart Swinger Canadian Special 340 built on the same day as Danny!

Right fender emblems on before inner fender splash shield went on.

Last sheet metal parts to go on! Powder coated & new side rubbers. Originals with undercoating next to restored shields. ]

My friend Jerry came over to help in the garage & i decided to get the NOS grille from the rafters! Brackets are soaking in Evaporust, then painted black. Then I can install headlight doors.

My restored dash bezel arrived today from Instrument Specialties in RI.

Trying to get small parts added! Purchased parts for both cars over 6 years ago and now trying to find them in the garage and storage shelves! Made some progress!

Working feverishly to finish my 72 Canadian Special 340 for MCACN in 2 weeks in Chicago but I just received my restored wiper motor for the 71 today.

This is the way I purchased the car.

The REM trunk mat definitely is for 1973 & newer as cut outs for bumper with shock absorbers. New mat arrived today! Almost perfect except around the bumper jack holddown.

The mat was from REM but purchased @ Nat’s several years ago. New mat arrived today. Big improvement with only the cutout for the jack spring a little off.

Planing on ordering tomorrow, will post if correct after arrival

The 1971-2 Canadian Special 340 cars have the same exhaust tips As the 1970 Dart Swinger 340 cars.

Since no one answered, I did some checking. Looks like there are a few places making 1970-2 correct parts. I just opened the box that was sitting on the shelf and this is what was in it. Glad I finally looked!

Gas tank is in! Still need to connect 4 lines to evaporator tower and tighten tank nuts. Purchased this trunk mat several years ago, not close to original! Will check a few used ones to see if better. Also will check @ Carlisle next month.

Evaporator tube has been installed from another car as this came without most parts! I took the unit out of the parts car and installed OEM clamp to this excellent used unit and installed. Will try and get NOS tank installed later.

Starting to get brake lines in under the hood!

To salvage the original clamp to secure the evaporator tube to trunk, I needed to cut open a broken tube to get the clamp off! I was able to place it on a good evaporator tube!

Salvaged everything off the original tank from the Parts car, including the decal! Also the original nuts for the straps to go on my NOS bolts. Decided to use my NOS sending unit that I have had on the shelf for years!

Hoping to use original sending unit as the repop really suck! I have several to choose from as I have stripped 3 cars this year.

Since the car will be a trailer queen, I plan on using original hoses with new clamps. The old clamps were disintegrated anyway.
