Help... Adding a second temp gauge

I added the spacer to have an additional port for the extra gauge. This is accurate and matches the temp of the existing gauge (both are aftermarket gauges)

    Frozen rusted bolts... removal

I heat wit a torch then put bees wax near the bottom of the stud or bolt. It will wick to the bottom of the thread and screw out easy. Use candle was if no bees wax is available. May have a little fire but no big deal.

My 63 Dodge Dart Turbo 6

Good Eye! I'll see if I can get a picture of the bottom mount. I just used an Alternator I had floating around the shop. You can make anything fit if you have the time.

My 63 Dodge Dart Turbo 6

It's been about 3 years ago that I did the distributor but believe it was 8597 for the V6 Chevy.

My 63 Dodge Dart Turbo 6

Side view of Dart I Had to modify front fender to get proper clearance on 15" tires. Able to run 4 1/2 Degrees positive caster and still turns easy in a parking lot at slow speeds. VW sized front tire. I just used some old gauges I already had instead of buying new gauges. May change to...

My 63 Dodge Dart Turbo 6

I also had to grind a little on the body of the distributor to get clerance to rotate so timing could be set. doesn't take much.

Shorten overall length, shorten shaft, re=drill hole for pin to mount slant 6 gear build adjustable stop collar to set proper length. Cut groove for O-Ring. Not much to it really. Just duplicate what you have on the standard distributor and it works. It is a tight fit but will work. You can see...

My 63 Dodge Dart Turbo 6

Yes, a street car built to have enough power to pass things on the interstate when necessary and have overdrive to keep rpm's down. It will never see the track as I have other cars for that. Running low boost (6PSI) and has plenty of power at that level of boost. Drives quite well, stops equally...

T5 transmission to Slant Six OD bell housing adapter

Well this may be lucky news! There is a number engraved right under the SFI sticker. It reads B195934. No other markings were located. I'd be happy to text you some pictures. I don't want to go to the trouble of posting them, however you are welcome to do so.

T5 transmission to Slant Six OD bell housing adapter

I spent a full hour on hold with Holley today and never a peep on their end. So tried another way by emailing them for duplicate information on my order for the Quick Time housing. Hopefully this will work. I did find the adapter rings in their original packaging but no documents were found...

T5 transmission to Slant Six OD bell housing adapter

The bellhousing QT made for me also had the adapter rings so It would accept two other Ford transmissions, although I can't remember which transmissions they were. I'd have to look and see if I had the paperwork that came with the housing.

T5 transmission to Slant Six OD bell housing adapter

The number may not be a direct line to QT as I remember now that I had the cell number for the direct line to QT. The number I gave may actually be to Holley. I must have deleted the cell number I had as I can't find it in my phone.

T5 transmission to Slant Six OD bell housing adapter

Quick Time did build a bellhousing that bolted directly to the slant six but used a Mopar 4 speed transmission. I had mine built last year which should still be available. You can talk to Ron ( I think was his name) at 1-866-464-6553 if you want to bypass Holley which now either owns or...

T5 transmission to Slant Six OD bell housing adapter

Just so you know I also used the stock 3 speed transmission mount which required very little modifications. Of course your driveshaft will have to be made to or modified to fit. I used a Ford rear end which I narrowed myself and after careful measurement found an internet site which built me a...

T5 transmission to Slant Six OD bell housing adapter

Yes, their Bell will bolt directly to the slant six. I used the stock flywheel, the stock (although new) pressure plate and used a new clutch disc from a Ford 2.3 Turbocharged Thunderbird. The clutch disc measures the same thickness as the stock slant six disc and the 2.3 has the correct spline...

T5 transmission to Slant Six OD bell housing adapter

No. The transmission tunnel is too small and needs modification. Not a real big deal if you have any fabrication skills and welding skills. I chose not to use aluminum as I have done on the many race cars I've built in my lifetime as I wanted a Car for cruising with my Wife and didn't want any...

T5 transmission to Slant Six OD bell housing adapter

I adapted a T5 to my slant six but was never really happy with my work. I contracted Quick Time to engineer me a new blow proof bell. By the way they can refurbish your stock bellhousing so it can accept a Ford T5. Any way, I paid all the costs of having it engineered so now they have it on...
