I use Wix 51085 filters on all my Mopars. It is a short type filter. NAPA 1085 is the same thing.

Yes, Got my headers back the other day. They look fine and I'm impressed with their work. The headers were packed extremely well and shipped back to me at no cost. I still haven't got all the pieces unwrapped.

I installed a set of them in my 68 340 dart. No problems should drop right in. You may have to shim your motor up one side or the other to get it in the proper postion.

Chose the NitroPlate Bright. Price I was quoted $330 and they will pay shipping back to me.

Sent mine to Nitro Plate. I talked to them on the phone and was really impressed with the representative I visited with.

They would be fine on a smaller motor since the pipe size is 1 1/2".

I went from the Summitt turbo's to Dynomax VT's. Man what a difference. With 4.10's running down the highway you couldn't hear yourself. Before Drone Drone Drone etc

I'm with Sir Dan. Run what you have till it wears out. There is no sense of throwing away your money on new pipes if you already have them. I'll bet you won't feel any difference in power with your *** dyno.

Since 1 5/8 is better why not save some money and a set of dougs.

If anyone is interested Summitt has the Dynomax VT mufflers on sale. The ones I priced at $99 ea are $85 and some change. These are the ones that have the spring loaded valve that opens up under full throttle. That is supposed to make it like running an open exhaust.

The end holes normally have studs in them from the factory. They are handy to hold your gaskets and headers in place while you start the rest of the bolts.

I put teflon paste pipe sealer on mine. No leaks.

Pull the motor out. They will be real easy to reach.

Hooker Super Comps don't match the crosmember. I have a notion to pull them off this winter. I purchased them and then about a week later TTI came out with their big tube header.

If your really looking for a total resto those manifolds are not correct for your car. They are the wrong year and casting numbers.The one's you saw on ebay are correct. They are getting harder to come by and that guy's price isn't out of line.

Do the Doug's header outlets line up with the crossmember cut outs?

This summer I installed a set of the 5204's on my 68 dart. Install wasn't bad. Some of the tubes were awful close to the steering box and shaft. Passenger side was a piece of cake. Driver's side a pain since there were clearance issues and they hang so low. Then I no more and get them in and TTI...

I ran purple Hornies on my dart back in the early/mid seventies. Yes they were loud and hit the crossmember, but what the h@@l. Your only young once.
