Just try and adjust the carb without the air cleaner in place. This should tell you if the carb or the air cleaner is the problem. As far as idling to high have you checked for a vacumn leak?

Never heard of reuseing rings once they were pulled out of a motor. I have several used oil pumps in a bucket. Need one? Junk to me.

I'm with Cudavert, electric water pumps are for track only. I'm not sure how they will do with continous duty. I run a proform electric pump on my drag car. It with an electric fan allows you to cool it down between rounds.

Small Block stroker sizes? Depends on what you want to spend. 408-414-426 and speed o motive has even larger kits.

I haven't got mine installed yet but I had no trouble getting thru on the phone and when I couldn't left a message and they got right back the next day.

I purchased AN fittings and installed a #3 braided line on my 69. It should last for a long time.

You might want to go to Comp Cams website and download their camquest program. You put in all your info and it will show you cams and calculated HP info.

Done it on my 68 dart before. It wasn't to bad of a job. A bit of a pain when degreeing the cam. Of course back about 35 yrs ago I'd lay on my back and change out clutch's and pressure plates on a regular basis. Man that 4 speed out of my 69 Dart GTS was heavy. Ah to be young again!!!!!!
