It is a tight exhaust but having that mandrel bent 2-1/2 pipe is great. Dont think there is much room in the tail pipe area for a resonator. I think running a longer case is the way to go.

Ok, The tti system fits really tight. So I was hoping I could still fit a longer muffler.

I have been driving my Barracuda and I find them loud. I am just wondering if anyone has squeezed a longer quieter muffler in like the old hemi mufflers. I allready have a loud car for drag racing just wondered if there was an option before I take it to a muffler shop.

Who has used mufflers other than the super turbos on there tti exhaust. I am interested in quiet. I used to run the Hemi style mufflers on the previous exhaust and going back to the super turbos is just to loud.

Yes thats true. Looking at the original reprodution tubing you see that difference. I do see they recomend starting from rear moving forward. Just wish it was less universal at the hangers.

Ive got race bullets on 12 inch extentions off my headers to tone done the open headers, just so i can move the car around so I dont piss off the neighbors. It still pisses them off.

When I first put my challenger together I ran the hooker 2 inch chassis headers. big mistake with that low comp stock head engine. no bottom end, switched to 1 7/8 headers and it picked up a ran great. It dosent matter Im just given my experience.

I had a 71 Challenger mild 440 stock heads 284-484 hyd cam holley street dominator 750 vac carb auto 3500 stall 3.91 gears 9x28 slicks. It had crappy 3 inch to flowmasters then 2 1/2 tail pipes. It ran low 12s 12.20-12.30. Running tail pipes or removing made no difference I even tried 3 inch...

I have the super comps on my 68 Barracuda. They hang lower on passenger side. The collector flange is phased with the triangler bolt hole on the bottom. It bottoms easily with passenger. gets caught when loading on trailer.

Hi, check my thread below there is a link to installing magnum manifolds in an early a body. the early 318 magnum through 1993 had good flow with close to a 2.5 inch at the collector flange.

I have been thinking about trying the shorty replacement headers for the magnum truck engines. They replace the magnum manifolds, and I here some people have used the magnum manifolds.

340 manifolds price out of control. $400. to now $600. plus on Ebay. Looking for an alternative exhaust that gives me ground clearance for autocross?
