Another "Is Fuel Injection a Worthwhile Upgrade?" Question

I have the Fitech Dual Power Adders on my Duster with a 6-71 blower, some of the best money I have spent on it. Runs amazing and easy to tune. People critique Fitech, but I think most of the problems people seem to have are user related. I followed the instructions to the letter, and got some...

    EFI fuel pump, Stock tank.

Aside from that works great, the pump is nice and quiet and performs well so far. I would just be careful when putting it in place as you do not want to ground the pumps electrical terminals on the body. (If the terminals are on the top of the pump)

    EFI fuel pump, Stock tank.

I installed an in tank pump in my stock fuel tank on my fitech build. I was tempted to go with their Fuel Command Center system at the time, but didn't want more clutter in my car so I landed on the in tank. I used a hole saw (after cleaning it thoroughly for safety reasons) to cut the top for...

    Fitech and throttle cable question

Wondering how this turned out for you. I am in a similar situation with a dual quad set up. I just cant get wot on them. Did removing the coil springs on the fitech unit allow you to fully open it using the factory pedal set up?

Fitech or Holley sniper on tunnel ram

I do not have a tunnel ram, but rather a blower and went through this when I switched from the carbs to the Fitech. The carbs were mounted sideways as you are asking, and I of course had the linkage set up as such: Upon getting the Fitech, yes they are shaped slightly differently and would...

    Fitech issues

There is a really good on facebook where people give advice on the Fitech systems. I recommend it even to just read up on your challenges / plans. Lots of great stuff on there. I have an intank pump also but did not run a relay, just went right to the pump as per the instructions.

    Fitech issues

Same. I had some issues with a couple small vacuum leaks but I sorted it out. I went with the easiest setup first just to get it running and to get familar with the system, and i will start to play with timing control etc later on. Ran great after a few small hiccups

    EFI for my 65 Barracuda -- 2bbl or 4bbl

I actually went with the dual quad as I am running a 671 blower. I had non stop issues with carbs on my set up and made the jump to FI and do not regret it at all. Fitech has many different applications ranging from mild to wild depending on what power your engine makes. They have a 400 hp...

    EFI for my 65 Barracuda -- 2bbl or 4bbl

I went the fitech route and really like it. It is not 100% plug and play as they allude to, but it is pretty easy to use overall. It is also reasonably priced

    Replacement Fuel Tanks

I recently did the EFI Fitech swap and kept my stock tank. I removed it, cleaned it using soap and a heavy duty degreaser then cut a hole in the top and installed a fitech intank pump. From there I vented it and got some foam and put it on top of the new pump to space it and prevent it from...

    EFI Conversion

Finally got it fired up tonight! Last week i took my first shot at it, but i got a vaccum leak and o2 sensor error. Did the vaccum leak test using a cigar, but found nothing so I concluded that it must be very small. From there I thought it would be best to check the torque on the supercharger...

    EFI Conversion

Almost there! Assuming i had no last minute issues, I might be ready to fire it up this weekend. I was wondering about whay setting you have programmed that you think I should keep in mind? Ie: prime shot, acel / decel settings, air fuel etc. Thanks again for all your help

    Vapor locking

EFI systems like the sniper and Fitech are more prone to vapor locking than a carb system to my understanding.

Thank you! I am getting to to firing it up now! Just need to do the electrical and check for leaks

Sounds like a good set up. I was also wondering what you have put together for your throttle cable? Were you able to use a factory style setup? Or a Lokar etc?

    FITECH FUEL COMMAND CENTER MODIFICATION

I have heard great things about doing this mod as it keeps it cooler and reduces the chance of vapor lock. I have also read about it getting so hot that fuel boils out of the vent port, but doing the mod will help prevent it. There is a group on facebook that I frequently look at called 'Fitech...

    EFI Conversion

Hey Jack! I have not as of yet but will be this coming weekend. I have the wires in place but need to actually route them and cut to size etc. I am going to remove the balast and put the wires together as suggested above and see how that goes. My main focus the last week or so has been redoing...

    EFI Conversion

Thank you for clarifying.. I am listening.. Kind of. Been a long work week already haha Removing the ballast will not harm the voltage regulator or anything else? I also upgraded the alternator last year and the wiring along with it. This increase will not harm anything by removing this? I have...

    EFI Conversion

In terms of ignition - I am running the MSD Blaster 3 coil, 6AL (as mentioned above) and a Mopar 2 wire distributor. So no MSD distributor. Will I damage something if I pull the ballast?

Sounds good - Sorry for all the dumb questions. You are running your wires to these wires? Why would you remove this?

    EFI Conversion

Thank you for the pointers. Which wiring figure did you follow? I am going with Figure 11. I think it is the closest to my current set up. Like you mentioned, I also have a MSD 6AL (but an older one - 6420). Upon looking at the diagram, (if this is the way to go) it shows the blue wire...

Thank you!! First off i was wondering what you hooked your white wire into? Also in terms of fans, are you using electric? The instructions say to run the yellow wire to the fan relay ground.. i am no electrical guru but shouldnt it be to the positive? I know there are some well known errors...

    Venting for Fuel Injection Swap

Thank you for the information. What is the difference between a FI tank vs a normal one? Are they thicker? I think the differnce is in the cap.

    Venting for Fuel Injection Swap

Happy new years! Was hoping to get some advice / opinions. I am switching my car over to fuel injection with the Fitech Go EFI 2×4 1200 HP Power Adder (30064) Additionally I am using the Fuel Command Center - which I plan on taking apart and modifying it into a return system to help keep it...

    Fuel Injection Thoughts / Recommendations

Hey everyone, I am pretty sure I have a couple of bum carbs for my 6-71 blower that I have been putting together. I bought them off of a guy that tried them on his car but could not seem to get them sorted out - even though they were built by an 'expert'. That really should have been a hint but...
