Can anyone confirm if an 8 1/4 is indeed heavier than an 8 3/4? I'll narrow it down to the weights of rears from 70's A bodies if it makes a difference... :salute:

Anyone know the different weight for rear ends? I was thinking 8 1/4 rear but I read that they are heavier than a 8 3/4. correct? What about dana rears?

What year did Mopar stop selling A bodys with the 7 1/4 rear? Did they? I thought starting in 75... Thanks

can anyone look this up? supposed to be an 833 overdrive and aluminum #3743643-1 and casting #99129. Could this come out of a Dart Lite or Feather Duster? Thanks

:thumbup: Alright-Goofie question. What is the width of A body rear ends? Other mopars? How do I measure? I now know that rear ends like the 7.25-8 3/4 are identified by the diameter of thier O(pinion?) rings but I don't know about width. I know someone with a 1934 Dodge Brothers truck and he...
