    If you do decide to go with a booster, you could use a remote vacuum booster like I used on my A100. Makes me feel better about stopping now.....4-wheel drums were OK for a couple of hits, then hard to stop after that until they cooled again. And before anyone says anything, they were set up...

    I did that a few years ago to my bosses Lexus. Drove about 10 miles with the parking brake on. I couldn't find the release (it was another foot pedal) ...so I drove anyway. :lol: Stunk by the time I got back to work.

    The Dodge A100 has all four corners on leaf springs.....may be why you appear to be confused with my pictures. Drum brakes on an 8-3/4" rear end similar to cars.....only big difference is the spring perches are underneath on the trucks.

    The other thing I did on my A100 was to add a remote vacuum booster - sits just behind the driver's side wheel housing...tucked up out of harms way. The hoses recommended by Scarebird are junk - Chevy parts, and both are different side to side. Ended up having custom hoses made and Russell...

    I had all 4 drums new - installed myself.....originals must have been replaced years ago. I bought new ones and had them machine surfaced. Eventually did the disc brake upgrade using Scarebird parts and list of other items.
