    factory speedometers are mechanical. You can get after market either mech or elec. If you go with electric you just need to purchase the correct transducer.

    Should be just one piece, goes from what you have to the floor. Are you missing the same thing on the other side? Should also be a piece of trim (chrome) that snaps into the piece you have and carries onto the piece you r missing.

    z daddy, Right now as far as cost which includes gauges, wire and connectors, sending unit for speedo, fuel cell with sender, and misc, I'm at close to $1200.00. As for time right now I'm pushing at least 40 hours and I stll have the speedo sending unit to install and connect.

    Its actually thin engine turned aluminum with a protective plastic coating in decal form. Pretty neat stuff, you buy it by the lineal foot. Found it on line at hotrodworks.net, a 24"x4' sheet was around $40 with postage.

    I'm sure there is a market for this product, I could use one, but my god! $70 bucks for a &2.00 piece of plastic. I know the guy needs to make a profit, but at that price all I see is someone try to get fat quick at the expense of a body owners. Just my take!

    I once sprayed a pair of green buckets, black and never had a problem. The trick is to get the vinyl clean before spraying. I wiped mine down with a rag dampened in lacquar thinner. and then quickly wiped it down with a dry cloth. Don't let the seat sit with wet thinner on it, it will melt the...
