I do not know if there would be a difference or not , or even if they make a #168 bulb but the 168 are 4.94 watts, and the #194 bulb is 3.8 watts , and the #158 is only 3.6 watts.

I had the same problem on a 70 charger i had years ago , and it had the same round pattern on the back kept breaking pins off , find another one same think .Something tells me i seen where this are in reproduction now you can buy them , not sure who sells them though

Your battery shoud never drain , if it does either the battery is bad or there is something left on to drain it , i can leave my dart for three weeks and it will turn over with lots of power. As far as the fuel gauge sounds like a bad ground at the tank .

I ran mine to a fuse , hot when the key is is the on position, if you are using an edelbrock they tell you not to take it from coil or alternator .

All have different wattage, if you look at a philips , or sylvania cotalogue it will give you the brightest one, used to sell them not sure which one is.
