    Need to buy some weatherstripping...

1A Auto carries a lot of weatherstripping for the older cars. Got my door seals from them and my roof rail weather stripping... very easy to work with! They're on eGag as well... :)

    '69 B'Cuda grills

Dave, if you can take some pics of what you've got, I might be able to offer some advise! :thumblef: I really wasn't sure how to tackle mine because one surround was in 4 pieces plus the major crack on the one end, and the other was only in 2 pieces thankfully. I completely disassembled them...

    '69 B'Cuda grills

Well, 4 days of busting my ***, and she's actually ready for the show. The 2nd grill is done and in, and man, do these look HOTT!!! Got my new stainless polished overflow tank in, the hood hinges off the '67 are in, and if I had another couple hours, I'd put my new aluminum master cylinder in...

    '69 B'Cuda grills

Seeing as how it's coming up on a month working on this project, I figured I should update everybody. One side is completely done, and if I hadn't scrated the messing trying to put it together today, it'd be in already... ARGH! Looks like I need to get some update pics of the grill up too...

Scoop is a little off center on the Dak'! :P Looks great! :thumblef:

    Where does this go?

Fishy is correct. Lower valance piece. One hint, make sure it's STRAIGHT before you bolt it on, otherwise it'll throw off your fender alignment... don't ask me how I know... (damn bodyshop...)

    Some new Progress pics.

Wow! Bodywork and sheetmetal work are beyond my skills, so those that can pull off something like that and make it look that good amaze me! GREAT job!! :D

    '69 B'Cuda grills

PICS!!! Just a few of what I've been fixing so far. Trying to take my time and make it look good. Like I posted earlier, I'm using JB Quik to "weld" it back together. Seems to be holding up quite well so far. I'm going to use a steel brush to try and get the excess off and to rough up the...

    '69 B'Cuda grills

I think so. The custom messing I'm putting in is going to be black, along with the surround. I'm hoping I can get the aluminum accent piece to clean up and shine nicely! I drilled the rivets out of the aluminum piece to get it off the surround. Wait until you guys see what I've come up with...

    '69 B'Cuda grills

Finally got around to starting on the surrounds last night. I ended up buying a couple packages of JB Quick (JQ Weld for plastics basically). So far from working with it last night, it seems like this is going to work quite well. I haven't tried bonding the sections together yet, but just one...

    '69 B'Cuda grills

Thanks Adam. Where'd you get it at? I was thinking of going with an automotive flat black... something that's made to take wind, bugs and getting cleaned! :)

    '69 B'Cuda grills

Thanks for the tip 69fastback! Don't worry Jack, you'll get pics! I've taken some pics already and just haven't had a chance to get them up yet, been too damn busy working! I bought some JB Quick (JB Weld designed for plastics), so I'll let you guys know how that fairs out... hoping to get...

    Metal Chrome Window Trim

I believe '67-72 front windows are interchangeable, but I could be wrong. As far as the trim, I think the same applies. Good luck finding the chrome trim if you don't have it though. It can get pricey. The clips are readily available of course...

    '69 B'Cuda grills

Perfect! Thanks man! :thumblef: I'll go look at some 2 part epoxy's tonight and let you guys know what I find. I'll have to get some pics up tonight of what I've gotten done so far!

    '69 B'Cuda grills

Thanks Adam! What brands of things did you use? I want this repair to last and look good... slowly but surely I'm getting around to things that I passed up during the resto! :)

    '69 B'Cuda grills

Well, I finally broke down and decided it was time to pull the grills off the car to restore them. Trust me, they need it and I'm sure not dropping almost $1000 on ebay for a pair. My gray plastic inner surround has lots of cracks and is in several pieces in some areas. I have everything...

    69 Barracuda PS fender

I would think about $3-400... I've seen pairs of fenders needing work going FROM $600/pr up to $750....

    a little more progress

AHHHH... you cut the inner fenders!! :-P Nice progress! Looks kinda like my '67.... only yours is stripped out farther! :thumleft:

    69 Barracuda Script Emblem placement

Those are originals... the other side isn't so pretty. Some nice pitting and what not. I did figure out where the longer (8"?) emblem goes. You should need only one, as it's a '67 emblem. One the back of the decklid in '67, there are 3 pieces of trim... top, middle, and bottom. Top and bottom...

    69 Barracuda Script Emblem placement
