    ANY AUTOCROSS RACERS

There aren't as many corner carver types here as there are over on the Moparts handling forum. Here’s the link: Corners Are Best - Handling Tech | Moparts Forums

    mopar handling

Some good info so far, but nobody has mentioned the "Red Brick", aka "Tim's Valiant". Tim Werner took what Ehrenberg did with the Green Brick (69 Valiant, btw) as inspiration and went a step further. I had the privilege of owning it for two years. I sold it last fall because it was just a bit...

    "street" outlaws tonight

Guess I'll never race in the south, then. Actually, drag racing doesn't have a lot of appeal to me anymore. Corners are more fun.

    "street" outlaws tonight

I didn't realize that these guys only race 1/8 mile until I watched the last episode of the season. I lost respect for them. 1/8 mile is pointless in my opinion.

    Oil accumulator location?

Go with the solenoid. It makes it super easy to use.

    Oil accumulator location?

The one in my Valiant is mounted to the roll cage, right behind the seats. See photo. It's not ideal for me. I'd rather move it back under the hood. Maybe sometime down the road I'll move it. Dunno about NHRA. The car is built for going around corners.

    Engine balancing questions?

Whether it's internal or external balance, bring them the hamronic damper and the flexplate if it's an automatic. If it's a stick, bring the flywheel, pressure plate & the fasteners. No need to bring the clutch disc because it is never clocked the same way. I balanced dozens and dozens of...

    stock 340 rods

Sorry. I completely read that wrong. I had a migraine coming on yesterday when I wrote that and must have had a complete brain fart. I thought you said that power does not have an affect on longevity. My apologies.

    stock 340 rods

So you can make 1000 hp with a stock block and not split a cylinder wall? I doubt it...

    4- piston caliper "sleeving"?????

I had mine done about 15 years ago by Stainless Steel Brakes. I don't know if they are still sleeving calipers or not. They are making new ones now. Contact them to find out. http://www.stainlesssteelbrakes.com/

My Dart Vs C5 Corvette RESULTS

70 miles on Bay Area freeways on a Wednesday afternoon/evening takes WAY more than an hour. Traffic sucks here. Sears Point (I refuse to call it Infineon!) is 88 miles from my house. I have to leave at 2 pm to get there right when the gates open. So many cars show up, it's ridiculous and...

My Dart Vs C5 Corvette RESULTS

A couple of things... The Mustang is just displaying it's Ford-ness. Is that a word? The guy with the Z28 should stay away from Hypertech products. They're no good. He needs a custom tune. Also, those transmissions have problems. It may not be related to the Hypertech. Traction control...

    w5 sound clip

Sounds good. One comment, though. Revving the motor right before you shut it down washes the cylinders down with fuel. It's a bad habit to get into. Just let it idle before you cut the ignition.
