With the head gaskets bore size available today there no issue running the 10.5 pistons, you can only get around 9.2 or so out of it. Been running mine for 3 years now with no problem or detonation issues, on 87 pump gas only.

Sorry Dude; but one look at that pan and that trans is toast , it has had water in it and high clutches are not holding, slips but will backup with boosted line pressure in reverse, slips and wont hold high in forward. REBUILD it now before wasting time and money on fluid parts!!! Good...
