Be careful running your hoses to the vents. I ran mine too close to the wipers and popped the clip off the arms and messed up my motor, they never turn off now, I had to disconnect power to the motor.

Vintage air has separate controls as far as the belt I can’t help you. I have a serpentine setup. But any other questions about install I can. They upgraded their system to a “Smart Control” 1 year after I did mine.

The classic uses your original heat controls. For both A/C and heat.

I ran mine over the column…… and it got caught on the wiper linkage popped off the clip and is still like that. I haven’t moved it yet(been 2 years now). Thank goodness for rain x

Yes it is very little and it doesn’t seem like it does anything when you slice de it, there isn’t a no force or friction.

It is just for the valve only. After I got mine running I had my wife open and close it so I could se the travel of the valve. So I could adjust the switch where I wanted it.

That’s pretty much what I have. 2004 5.7 truck. Yours will look a lot cleaner than mine. My compressor is up top.

Having all that room to work is nice. I did mine with the dash and full ineterior. The glove box location without the box is a great location for extra electronic controls. I had my ECM there but moved it to the top of the A/C box.

It takes me a bit to recall what I’ve done. So bare with me. I’m pretty sure I had to get a second pair of hands get the bolts lined up. Someone inside the car and tilt it to line up right. I lost half the pictures of the install.

I think that’s what mine looked like at first. When you put the cover plate on the firewall it pulls all the fitting together where they are supposed to be.

I did not have that problem with mine, did you call them about the fitment issue.

I know of plenty Chevy guys who love the vintage air. They make direct fits for them. Their customer service is really bad. I live about 12 minutes from their facility and it’s easier to talk to the cable company than it is to them. In person they are useless for information. That’s my opinion.
