    Hoist vs stacker

Because the bridge has to be high enough to not colide with the roof of a pickup or SUV. Where as the 4 posts have no bridge . Tops of 4 post columns are around 7-8’ where as tops of 2 posts are 11-12’ depending on brand , capacity and if it has extensions .

    Hoist vs stacker

Buy a 4 post and get rolling jacks to lift the wheels off the runways . 2 posts are better for maintenance but 4posts allow you to store another car. 4 posts require less ceiling height and concrete thickness . A 2 post requires 4-6” of good concrete or you will need to cut and repour 4’x4’...

Seeking wisdom from those who have installed a lift

I install lifts for a living now ... got tired of selling things. 4" minimum for the concrete on a 10k or smaller lift . Just use a small bit to test depth somewhere nearby. You will feel the bit break through. Drill your anchor holes all the way thru in case you need move or mess with lift...

Ive ground them down on my bench grinder using an extension chucked in a drill. Its as close to a lathe as you can get . But a lathe would take about 3 minutes !

    Non Chamfered Socket set

Use impact sockets to grind down . They are not usually chromed and will still be strong after thinning . If you have a lathe you could cut the whole set down nice and clean .

    Compressor rebuild parts

I dont think its the motor because it runs fine until the tank hits around 80 psi. Which leads me to think it may be a sticky valve like Steve suggested .

    Compressor rebuild parts

I always thought it was a single stage . The cylinders look equal in size. I drained the tank (of air) and started it again . It runs fine until the pressure starts to build to around 80 psi then it starts to slow up . It did not knock though ...which leads me to think Steve is on the right...
