    Headers hitting idler arm

I went with a poly mount with was a bit taller . But you could just shim your existing one . You can also use truck isolators ( rubber mounts) which are taller than the car ones . But it looks like you could just get away with dimpling the header using a 3/4 + deep socket and grinding the...

    Headers hitting idler arm

I also dimpled the tube a tiny bit and used a die grinder with a red scotchbite on the offending tierod/ pitman/ idler arm . Just a small amount in each area will give you more than enough clearance .

    reducing exhaust drone

Not saying this is the case but I wonder how many droning issues are caused by an impropper tune ? My car was really loud at cruise until I got the timing and jetting dialed in .

    Tubular Automotive Headers

Is this for a street car ? I ran Tubular W2 headers on my 73 Sport and they werent all that low .... my current 1 7/8 TTi's sit a little tighter to the chassis but not much . And its seems I remember the Tubulars being 2" primaries but I could be wrong .

Muffler-can keep kinda quiet sounds off at rpm

My fastback is super sweet at all speeds windows open or closed . Dougs headers and 2 1/2 all the way back. The Dart with 3" is another story but I think I can tune some of that out .

    tti header oil pan fitment

Yes but I wouldnt think that would change the lower part of the header. I have changed a pan gasket and it was a Biotch ! Snug fit .

    tti header oil pan fitment

Pretty tight on driverside of my 408 with a Kevco pan. And it has no kickout . My TTi's are W2s so maybe they are different ?

    Header advice

I have Dougs on my 68 Barracuda with power steering and they are great . TTi 1 7/8 on my Dart with 4sp and manual brakes . They fit fine as well. Both are great headers but you will save money on the Dougs.

    TTI headers

They work and fit great . At least they did in my Barracuda. Remember that you can mix and match engine mounts to get more clearance where needed ... at least you can on the older pre spool mounts.

1970 DUSTER 340 FACTORY EXHAUST END CUTS w/o TIPS???

I like to watch the old Mopar ads and training videos . I pause on shots ofthe cars to look at the details . Often there are parts that did not make it into production . Or the training video dialog is inacurate .

    Oh the noise!

I bought a Summit 3" Kit for my 408 and had a local shop tweek the fitment. Before the shop it was pretty loud but after they were done I was amazed how much quieter it was ! And this is a .648 solid roller Motor . They Rerouted Some pipes, welded all the joints , added a crossover and got the...

New 3" exhaust with 2.5" Tailpipes

Someone posted about 3” into 2” a few weeks ago. I think that is too drastic but 3-2.5 might actually help. Seems Engiine Masters did a test like this. Dont remember the results. If air expands when hot then it makes sense the in contracts when it cools and wont require as much volume . It...

Did you install the steering chuck on the k-frame while it was out of the car?

    Header fitment rant, Doug's

This is why I drop the car onto the engine/trany/k-member / header assembly. That way I can get everything fitted in the open beforehand.
