    Disappointing dyno results

Yes but the Timing curve won‘t matter on the dyno because the pull starts at 3000 and its all in by then .

    Disappointing dyno results

Did I read the last pull correctly? You A/F was 9.8 ? That cant help. I dont think the cam is killing you . It may not be optimal but it should run decent . looks like your torque peaked before the pull started even being too rich . 150 lbs of cranking pressure does seem low for a mild cam ...

    Disappointing dyno results

No … not really . Dyno time is so you can break in the engine , check for leaks and find performance issues before you spend days installing , tuning , diagnosing and then having to pull the engine againe and start all over . although $800 seams spendy for a dyno shop that wont even rejet...

it may be bouncing in drive though . Cant hurt to try . I can’t imagine the spacer is causing this unless there is massu vacuum leak.

    Eddy 1405 tuning advice

Then try the wire in the air bleed mod to see if you can lean out the idle without leaning out the cruise . These carbs are not as easy to tune as they say . Certainly not on a modified engine .

    Eddy 1405 tuning advice

Low speed light throttle only uses the idle circuit so it could be that you need to use lighter springs. The metering rod might be bouncing up and down . I dont think timing is an issue . I run a very similar cam and it will run OK anywhere between 12-18 intitial. I also think your lash is...

I have a brand new 800 AVS Thunder but its a good learning experience to mess around with with the 1405 . The car runs great...

    Eddy 1405 tuning advice

I have a 1405 on the Barracuda right now and have had similar issues with excess gas smell no matter how lean I ran it . I ended up installing a thin wire in the main air bleed circuit to lean it t out some . I will try to post a link on the procedure.

Can you ID this manifold ? Look closely …

360 version vs W2. there are quite a few differences. Mostly in the deleted or undrilled fitting bosses . Which allows the runners to be cleaned up without fear of breaking thru to a bolt hole or having a gaping hole to disturb airflow .

Can you ID this manifold ? Look closely …

I don’t know if the deleted cross over etc freed up any runner routing to allow better flow or porting potential. Would need to compare side by side.

Can you ID this manifold ? Look closely …

I need to find a stock one to compare side by side to see if there are any runner differences. Mopar had to do some casting changes to eliminate the cross over , choke and EGR so maybe they gave a little help to runners ?
