68 barracuda.. anything over 8 inches tall can only be 2.5 thick

i am limited on space, i can fit A- a 27x7x3.5 or B- a 27x12x2.5 what is the better choice? i am leaning toward the thicker 7 inch as to not block so much of the radiator 10-15si max..maybee20
