Rice nuker I did reinforce the lca's and install them in the kmember first but they weren't pictured cause they weren't done yet. I used a set of lca's with sway bar mounts although the bar came with some bolt on mounts for lca's without mounts. Krazykuda, I actually just put urethane bushings...
Poison dart, can you explain what you mean regarding load cycles? I think you may have gone over my head there lol. I got everything installed yesterday and all seems like a vast improvement. I have an appointment today for an alignment and found some improved specs to use. Hopefully it will be...
Here are the directions that came with mine. I installed it in the kmember but havnt tried the lowers yet because they're still in the car. The second pic is the tabs for the lowers that come in the kit. Hope this helps
Well I got the leafs installed, sorry ill post a pic later but they lifted the rear end up a bunch. I got the k-member painted and installed all the pst equipment (sway bar kit, fast ratio steering kit, and QA1 strut rods) to the k-member. I still have to figure out how I want to go about the...
Yeah I called to ask them before ordering because I read that the mounting tabs changed depending on the year and swaybar type. They said it didn't matter because they're kits come with all the stuff to install them. I havnt installed yet but read the directions and it gives a step by step on...
I have two sets of lower control arms one set with the tabs and one without. I got the set with thinking I would need the tabs. I also just got a swaybar from pst (havnt installed yet waiting for torsion bars to arrive) but mine came with brackets that you install yourself with directions on how...
Thanks James, I got ahold of the gentelman in customer service and I am unsure of what happened with fedex but he said he put in a claim to have another set delivered.
Whew! Was getting nervous reading this as I ordered a bunch of stuff from pst a couple weeks ago including the 1.03 bars. I havnt seen the bars yet, apparently they're stuck in FedEx limbo somewhere. Now if I can just get a call back and update from the customer service guy lol. Thanks for...
I'm hoping they don't settle too far, my rear tires hit the inner wheel wells when I hit bumps now and rub the inner fender in corners. I'm hoping the new springs and rear sway bar will remedy it lol
Krazykuda, did you notice a difference when you rebuilt the front end? The headmans are long tube but they said they would work. There were a couple other brands they had listed as compatable. I hope they're correct I'll be annoyed if they're wrong and I have to send it back.
I'll take some before pics and post em as I go. The quick ratio steering kit says it doesn't work with some long tube headers. I called pst and told em I had headmans and they said they should be fine. Crossing my fingers cause the kit looks nice and was about the same price as the stock pieces
Excited! Just ordered mancini xhd leaf springs, shackles, rear shocks, pst quick ratio kit, pst front and rear sway bar, and pst 1.08 torsion bars! Weekend should be busy and hopefully my rear tires stop bottoming out and rubbing when turning!
I actually already have discs, it is a 1973 /6 factory air, power steering and power disc brake car which is nice because I didn't have to convert it. If the k members are the same ill either look for a pre 73 v8 k member so I can use the mounts I used or put the /6 k member back in and buy the...
The /6 k members are lighter than the v8s? I didnt realize they were different other than the engine mounting points? I looked at firm feel, they have a reinforcement kit for 75 bucks that I was considering. I also looked at their k members and at $500 bucks I would rather use the reinforcement...
ok i will call pst to see if their sway bar works without factory mounts on the control arms, i dont have a welder so I am kinda limited to bolt on parts for the time being. Thanks for all the info!
