    Bought a welder today

I have wanted something better than my small 110v mig welder. Well I went to look at a used 220v lincoln today. The unit looks barely used and was purchased by the guys father in the mid eighties. Does spot and stitch with all kinds of adjustments. The gun is in good shape and a nice size. Not...

    Soldering Iron....

I have an Ungar UTC 600 I think that is the right number but I will check later. It is a station with adjustible temp and a pencil style iron on a very flexible cord. I have owned it over 20 years and it performs flawlessly. I love it and hope I never have to replace it.

    Car Lifts

X2 I have replaced many transmissions over the years and worked on 4 poster wheel lifts and they are not much fun. Trying to pull crossmembers and other components to gain access to the trans can be a real headache. Unless you are working on larger vehicles like dually trucks a two poster is the...

    Let's see your garage!

Garage is 28x30 with 636 square feet of loft. Has a load bearing wall 11feet from the south side wall so that part of the loft can support some serious weight. It has 100a 220v electric and a lift.

    Chainsaws....

I just bought a homelite 1050 auto with 30" bar and 115cc engine at a garage sale for $25. It needs to be gone over and cleaned but looks like a fun project. If it needs a rebuild I may try to convert it to the newer super auto specs.

Harbor Freight - Gems and Junk

I have their top of the line sawzall, works great so far. Their 5" da sander with about 100 hours of abuse. I would run it for hours at a time. It got so hot I could barely hold it but still going strong. I like their 3" cutoff tool for $10 and the discs seem to tast ok. I buy everything with...

installed a lift in my garage

Well I finally have a lift in my garage. I bought it barely used for $900 from a guy who was closing his shop. It is a direct lift 9000lb capacity. I have it levelled and bolted to the floor. I need to get a 30a 220v outlet and breaker today and will be in business!

    Central Pneumatic Air Compressor

I was looking at those compressors when I was at harbour freight. The tanks seemed to be as thin a gauge metal as they can use. Other than that I would buy one of those before an oiless model. The oiless ones are super loud. The jump in price to a real quality compressor is probably at least...

    Best value 1/2" impact

My 1/2" gun is a MAC that is basically the same as the IR231. I bought it in '86 and has been in use every day ever since. I had to replace one hammer weight but other than that no problems.
