My D100 still has points in it and I'm going to upgrade to electronic soon. Was going to do the hei module and do away with the resistor all together.

    First ballast resistor failure

Well until today I had never had a ballast resistor fail in 30 years of driving old mopars. It was on my 68 D100 and happened at the bottom of my driveway. Had to go swipe on off a 70 dart sitting behind the garage.

    Magnum distributor on carb'd motor?

I think a late eighties T.B.I. distributor might work for you. I know they don't have a vacuum advance and probably pretty easy to lock the centrifugal if it has that. You can get an adaptor to run the Magnum cap and rotor. The rotor has a wider face to handle the digital advance with a fixed shaft.

So I stumbled on an interesting HEI phenomenon

Is your feed wire still going through the ballast resistor? I would make sure you have battery voltage to the coil and module.

dual pickup distributor for a dodge 440 ?

Most cam position sensors I have seen do not have the same number of teeth as there are cylinders. They usually have only one trigger per revolution of the cam.

    Anyone use a DUI system?

My buddy loves the system on his car. It is a stock mopar electronic distributor with the GM module on the bottom. I will ask him where he got it from.

    Anyone use a DUI system?

A buddy of mine has a little billet aluminum plate that bolts to the bottom of his distributor that mounts a GM HEI module. Looks stock and no ignition box on the fender or firewall. Why do you want to use the DUI set up?
