Never had a rodent smell,but my steering wheel smelled like cheese real bad.Had to scrub the hell out of it a couple of times and put a cover over it.

I think it's also easier to remove the steering column,or at least loosen it up so it will drop down some.

Thanks, just figured I'd paint it while the windshields out and waiting on a gasket.

what kind of paint is used on the dash of a 67 dart and can it be purchased somewhere.I would use plain old satin but I don't think it would give me the same light texture as original.
