I dont own a six pack, but it's a really slick design.

    Hopefully not a dumb question.

I would imagine if your replacing both parts with OEM mopar parts, you shouldn't have any problem. The issues have always been with the inaccuracy of the aftermarket sender unit.

Are Speedmaster elec fuel pumps any good ??

I bought a set of the speedmaster bare aluminum small block heads. I havent had my machinest look at em yet. He has done some SBC speedmaster heads. He said those were decent for the money. Basically Edelbrock copies, and the guides are typically junk from the get go. He replaces them with...

Great idea. Clean out the center hole with a tapered reamer and blow the chips out.

Another Episode of NAME that PART

Bigger lid. The one you have there is the smaller lid slant 6 only. Think commando 273

Another Episode of NAME that PART

Actually the ones I did were for the 273 commando lid, same lid you find on a 67-69 slant 6. Working on 3-4 more. Just no time lately.

    3/8 vs 5/16 fuel lines

A buddy of mine gave me a new 25' coil of metal 3/8" fuel line. I will use it on both cars just because I have it, and both cars will need lines put under them at some point. My 408 might actually need it, but sonny's warmed over 318 wont. But that's ok. It will be in there if he ever does need...

    Fuel line routing

Also if you box in the hole you cut out in the frame your running it all through, it will strengthen the frame back up in that spot, and lessen the lines possibly chafing on a metal edge. Even with heater hose around it, a sheetmetal edge can rub. I recommend you use rubber cushioned P clamps or...

    Throttle cable

I need 2 cables for 2 cars. Slant 6 is 24.25" long. About 5 inches longer than stock small block V8. The old one in my mockup pic then must have been a slant 6 cable since that's what was in my 67 when I bought the car. PN# ATP Y 155 for 67 up A body slant 6 shows up in rock auto, but not under...

    Throttle cable

Also look into a throttle cable bracket from a mid 70s 4 barrel ram van if you can find one. It will set the cable farther to the left and up at the right angle. See pix below. I cut the kickdown horn off it since it's going on a 4 speed setup. The manifold on the mockup is an Edelbrock RPM. A...

I think the twist knob is better. It's a fine adjustment. Simple mechanical solution. I said it before, but again, I need to copy this idea.

Anybody know about this intake? 318 single plane 2 barrel

May be a boat anchor, but I got one that will be going on a mild built 318 temporarily for a new driver to hobble it down a little bit. Eventually the 600 4bbl setup on an aluminum intake will replace it. Good for a TBI EFI conversion.

'68 Barracuda -wire to fuel tank sender

You can do the same thing with the temperature gage. Unplug sender with key on, it should go to cold. Jump the sender wire directly to ground it should peg all the way hot. That rules out a temp gage being a problem. Using this method with both fuel and temp gages also tests the sending unit...

'68 Barracuda -wire to fuel tank sender

If you take the wire to the tank sending unit and disconnect it with the key on and gage drops to empty, then take the same wire and jump it directly to a chassis ground and gage goes to full, then you can rule out the gage being an issue.

'68 Barracuda -wire to fuel tank sender

Stuck float or stuck needle on the gage.
  28. moparmat2000

'68 Barracuda -wire to fuel tank sender

No. Wire to fuel sender is a feed to the sending units variable resistor from the gage. If you run that wire directly to ground the gage will read full all the time. The sender is grounded thru a clip that attaches to the metal fuel feed tube on the sender and jumpers over the rubber sending...
