    67/68/69 cuda dilemma

I am wanting to start back up with this project at some point in the near future, but life is still getting in the way of that currently. I hope the mods dont truncate this thread, as theres a lot of fab work here on these pages that other people can follow/copy on their own projects. As an...

    67/68/69 cuda dilemma

Well so busy with other stuff I never got to it with the car. I go back to work tuesday January the 9th. Wife and i are taking our Christmas stuff down tomorrow, and monday, and packing it away. It's all good, I enjoyed not having to "work on or fix stuff". I think that's what vacation is all about.

    67/68/69 cuda dilemma

We arent that high tech yet. Our AMLs are still paper unfortunately. However, fortunately for me, I dont deal with them much as a heavy check structural mechanic crewchief. All our entries are in a different digitized format.

Aircraft Maintenance Logbook. If it flies off without the AML aboard, it's a $fine$ by the FAA for every leg it travels without it.

Project "Chihuahua" '65 Formula S Restoration "Estilo Mexicano"

That 5v pulsing is from the IVR on the back of the circuit board, and is normal. The gages read at roughly 5v and the cheapest way for chrysler to do this in 1960s tech with a 12V electrical system is to make a pulsing instrument voltage regulator, and design the gages to respond slowly so the...

    Goodby donor car

Yep. Whenever I drill apart a donor car I take it completely apart. Even metal I dont need for a project. Then I offer it up for sale here to finance my project. I have sold 2 complete sets of rear framerails through FABO over the years along with other sheetmetal pieces you would never think...

Robert89 you may want to post that in the general forum. This is a private build thread. You would probably get the answer you want faster there.

    67/68/69 cuda dilemma

I have not been on for a long time. Dealing with losts of B.S. outside of here, and fighting my chronic depression. Sorry I have not posted but I have not done anything in almost 2 years to this thing.

    Dartin for Divorce

Yeah that's a bit tall. What we used were 7 foot tall temporary steel beams with a jack screw inside to extend them another 2 foot.
  18. moparmat2000

    Dartin for Divorce

I have had to do that before. We would use a high lift jack to push the old beams up to level and close the crack, then do as you did and splint it from both sides. That repair will last a lifetime

I agree. I do everything myself if I can. Had a plumbing leak under the slab. Had to all in the big guns for that. Cost me a pretty penny too.

1969 Dart Pro touring daily driver **Crashed**

Nice build. I will be doing the same with my K frame and LCAs. Sucks about the wreck. Still lots of parts out there for darts. 73-76 front fenders will fit a 69. Same outer sheetmetal stamping except for the parking light. I think you have to use the 69 headlight bucket/inner fender mount on the...

    Aussie VC 67 Dodge ute

Closed minded trolls. I use what works. Not everything Chrysler did was great though we all like to think so. The hate mail I got for using a GM HEI module to run a mopar electronic distributor was epic. I made it a clean modification that looked almost factory. Hotter spark on the cheap and...

Marty, Keep posting your ideas. I personally take away a bunch of tips from your postings. Showing how to's are a good thing. Forget the A$$holes that pick apart your postings. They are probably just jealous that they cant do what you can. If I lived out by you I would love to pick up some ideas...

    1970 Duster project in Sweden

What's funny is thats a stock 1980s chrysler fifth avenue fan and clutch. Junkyard part all day long. MP sold that as a hop up part ?? LOL. I very rarely bought anything out of the MP catalog

    1970 Duster project in Sweden

OEM brass radiator or thicker aluminum one? If it's a thicker aluminum one, then use a fan clutch from a 1990 jaguar XJ6 it fits and is a fair bit shorter. It should come with a centering bushing for the mopar pump shaft, and is SAE thread. With that I used an 18" 6 bladed fan made for a...

You guys are doing it all wrong. You have to scam it the right way. You hide the engine at a friends place. then you buy her something she really wants within reason. Wait about a week, then drag home your new "good deal". It always works for me.

Marty, you are top notch. I wish you were stateside, I'd send my 1994 chevy C1500 Silverado right over right over for an interior makeover. Your interior jobs look like factory stuff. Making stuff like that work takes so much effort, once figured out, the other side ends up being easy peasy.

    1970 Duster project in Sweden

Standard fiberglass and resin like for boat repair will typically hold up well. The key with the cotton over the mould is to layer up the cotton with multiple layers of resin to get it to hold its shape well before popping it out and layering up the inside. Use the heavy duty fiberglass matting...
