Good choice if you don't let it sit around for a month or so. Cant recharge quickly and don't try jumper cables.

Okay. Can't seem to figure this one out. For starters, this problem has only been recent. Drive car maybe 50 miles a year. Bigblock conversion 30 years ago. Elephant ears, fenderwell headers etc. Only electrical additions are Mallory highfire ignition basically. Last fall upon starting starter...

From what you're telling me it sounds like you have a Box problem but here is the coil number and what I've got running on my big block set up.

Ive bought several new batterys that were junk. Test good but under load not. Otherwise starter/solenoid or relay.

Either way if you know how to tune an engine you don't need many marks or you need some marks and then you go from there. Depending on cam degree advance, distributor etc. Need to know what your working with. Dave
