Looking at the parts interchange book it says Carter bbd two barrel ID#6317 for 73 318. Oh and #6344 California only. Maybe someone else will have a another idea.

Don't forget to check your fuel filter. Make sure the carb is tightened down that could cause a vacuum leak. don't tighten too tight you could crush the gasket. As was said a manual is a good thing to have. They are a good starting point. It's nice to have so you don' have to run to look...
