    HF portable tire changer

When I was a teen (back in the dark ages when radials first came out) I used to go to the local tire shop and dig through there junk tire pile, find tires the right size that still had tread in the middle, and mount them up on my rims. Never had any sort of changer machine, just two tire irons...

    Air compressor set ups

Use a section of hydraulic hose between the tank and the hard lines. It will handle the pressure no problem and isolates the piping from vibration.

    Workbench ideas?

You could try pallet racking. 2000# per shelf. use 2 by x for bench top. they can really take a beating. I don't have room for the racking at full width so I cut the stands down to 24" spacing and have a bench 24" x 8' and continued with 8' of shelving at one end that I can set each shelf at...

The start of the Auto Rotisseri

Another place for parts is www.surpluscenter.com. Good prices, good service, good selection. If you get a catalog it's easy to compare parts to select them, but some things are not in it.

Insulation help for my garage with pics

If you are putting the insulation against the underside of the rafters you will need a soffit vent for each rafter cavity because the air would not be able to circulate in the rafter spaces with out them.

    Dishwasher as parts washer?

Purple power, Super clean or any other cleaner that lathers will not work good in a dishwasher. Once it foams up there is no impact from the water spray, also the pump will hardly move foam, so no squirt from nozzles. I fix appliances for a living so I know from experience they don't like foam...

Needed: Ideas for a cheap temporary Floor work surface

Set your jackstands on brake rotors to keep them from sinking. They will give lots of surface area to hold the load and are not so big that you have trouble working between them, I do not recommend pavers or other thin masonry because they are more likely to crack and could dump your car on you...

Help Me Plan Out the New & Improved Shop

If you can find some pallet racking units they make some very heavy duty shelving, and you can set up part of it as workbench. I even narrowed a section for workbench so I can fit it in my 1 car garage with a car.
