Duster taillight panel removal and replacement

There’s a sh*t ton of spot welds. I can try to get a picture of the one I took off my 70 a few years ago. Well over 100!

Converting Duster gas fill to behind the licence plate?

Why not just put a fuel cell in there?

    Aluminum intake clear coat?

It will all turn yellow over time, even the high temp stuff. I had one I cleared and never put on a engine turn yellow after several years in the garage!! Most people paint with aluminum colored spray paint.

Yup. My 70 looks just like that.

    What size are hood bolts?

Got a thread gauge and/or a set of taps and dies? Pair of calipers? Measure the hole and/or bolts you have. Figure out the diameter and thread pitch that you need and source the right size.

1970 Dart Accident and need fix up recommendations/ Advice!!

The hood and fender are toast. I’d start taking it apart and see what else is tweaked. You will likely have to replace the radiator support and possibly the inner fender well and possibly straighten or replace the frame rail if it is bent.

    Where goes this piece go?

Does it go between the trunk floor extension and tail light panel, right where the quarter panel wraps around the back?

Goof Off will take the undercoating off, too. I didn’t believe it until I tried it.

    1970 Valiant/Duster emblem placement

My bad on wording. Pentastar was only on the passenger side. Supposedly for “curb appeal”.

    1970 Valiant/Duster emblem placement

It should be on both fenders but not 340 cars. Those just had the Pentastar on passenger side and the Valiant badge on both sides above the Duster 340 decal

Not to hijack this thread, but what wheels are those on your Duster? They look great!

I want an inside Hood Release in my '71 Duster. Can't find -'71- only '72-'76. Will they work?

I’ve heard the cable releases and latches from a mid 80’s pickup can be adapted.

Duster Fender mounted turn signal location.

It looks like the tape measure moved as I took the picture of the distance from the front of the fender. Hard to do on a curved surface.

Duster Fender mounted turn signal location.

Here’s rough dimensions on my two fenders. I believe they are both 1970. The red one came from a member in Detroit and the green one is from Lee Robinson on here. Let me know if you need better or more pictures.

Duster Fender mounted turn signal location.

I can try to get some pictures off my fenders tomorrow. I have a 70 and both fenders are off the car.

    Ducktail spoiler for 74 duster

ABS was a poor material choice, but was about the best at the time. So many better plastic materials out there now. Too bad tooling isn’t cost effective for someone to re-tool

    NAME THAT PART II

Could be. Clutch fork pivot goes inside the bellhousing. Obviously won't be needed with an automatic tranny. Same with the pivot ball. Looks like the parts on my 70 Duster. Tranny in mine is out of a 68 Dart.
