After building my 440 Duster I have often thought about a stroker 360 instead. I wouldn't change, but I think it might be the wisest route. :burnout:

Evans coolant. Ill check into that. I really hate to cut holes into the shroud. It seems to be doing the same thing it was before the radiator change. I had a radiator out of a international truck, big and ugly. I hate to wrap the headers, But I think that's where the problem lies. I bought...

I tend to agree about the plate. It needs more holes I think. A friend made it, and I like the look, but if that's the problem...

There is no spring in the bottom hose. I don't think 220 is overheating but it is hotter than I'd like it to be. I apoligize for my vagueness. I may have been under the influence when I started this thread.:tongue3:

Temp 210, 220. Autometer w/ warning light. Rat rod, ease up. We are all friends here. :wack:

Oh yeah, Shrourd is very cool. Two fans mounted with holes cut for the fans. They come on at 180. Seems to be after a 5 mi run.

All very good questions. New radiator cap, 50/50 mix. 190 thermostat. Seemsto run hot after hot rodding. If i drove it normally it wouldn't get hot. If I've missed anything,,,,

Ya'll are mean. 1971 440 .030 over. Gas ported pistons. !973 duster. Elgin cam w/ six pack specs. Iron heads, small valves, Demon 850 w/ torker II intake. C.P.P.A under chassis headers. Mallory ignition, and unilight distributor. Mancini 727 w/ full manual valve body and bolt in spreg. 489 sure...

New aluminum radiator. Still overheating. C.P.P.A. underchassis headers. Maybe too much timing?:banghead:

My 440 has got gas ported pistons. No complaints here! :burnout:

Might check the radiator cap. Had that once. I have a radiator from a international truck in my Duster. Just fits between the frame rails. Had a larger electric fan off some Buick or something. It was cracked in the case, but worked good. Upgraded to a Jegs one that was smaller and not cracked...

Sideways isn't telling you he is building a 440 A body now, mine! That's him putting it in.
