    16* BTDC only because of the ethanol fuel... The better way is to time it to total advance at 2500 RPMs... The normal spec for initial timing is 12* with vacuum advance unhooked and plugged... But because of the Ethanol in the gas you need a little more...Bill

    The big Question is what does the rear cam plug look like???? Is it worn through, is it pushed out ... Either way if it leaks oil from the rear of the engine that will be a dead give away....Bill

    Most double roller chains are pre stretched and I don't think it will matter to much which one you use...I have never seen a DR chain jump...I used Mopar performance which I believe is made by Comp Cams now... Just don't use a silent chain they stretch terrible and can jump time....Bill

    I would put a double roller timing chain when a apart as acdragon mentioned.. Also I would put a 8 finned impeller water pump they cool better.. You are very lucky that you were not running an electric fuel pump... If that cam gear came off while driving down the highway you would have had some...
