The last picture actually shows it centered up before I shifted it to the right.

I have a relatively narrow space so I pushed the hoist up against the right wall. This gives me space to walk along the left side past the posts. I line the tires up right on the left edge of the ramp so that gives me room to work around the passenger side. I also have about 10 foot 8 inches...

That would make a great family room. Just add a TV and a beer fridge!

My tool box is black wrinkle finish so I stickered up my storage cabinet

When I was torquing the heads a few times it wasn't clicking when I figured it should. Since I was going in stages I moved on. Next pass it clicked almost immediately. Seems like it was dependent on how straight a pull you were doing.

I'm not sure about my Craftsman either. I should break out my old beam wrench and check.

Moved the lift over to the passenger side wall, now I can easily walk by on the driver's side.

My space is 10 feet 4 inches wide and 10 feet 8 inches height

My buddy stopped by with his dart convertible, so we had to see if it fit.

Here is the new lift installed. I am going to shift it over to the right side to give more room to get around. And no the roof is not hitting the ceiling, it's just the camera angle.

Installation moved up to Monday. :thumbsup: I will post pictures when it is done.

Pulled the trigger on a four post lift for the garage today. Installation in about two weeks. Have been having problems with Vertigo for months and I can't lay under the car without making myself sick. Finally said what am I waiting for?

I should mention that my Dad owned a Sunoco station when I was growing up. I worked there part time starting at about 12 years old. Used to get a lot of hot cars in looking for Sunoco 260.

Picked this up at Carlisle. Any guesses what it is?

The two posts seem to average about 140 inches wide, while the four posts are around 114 inches wide. My garage is about 124 inches wide.

I am looking at a 4 post. One thing to consider is that the 2 posts are wider. It makes a difference in my case.

Thanks for everyone's comments, they have been really helpful. Stopped by the house today and they had cleaned up the garage to get it ready to pour the floor. Here are some better pictures. 6PKRTSE that's a lot of laughing gas on the shelf.

Here is a bad picture, the builder's construction trailer is currently parked in there. It has a rear garage door with an opener as well, and I think I am going to have them put another section of straight track in to take it up closer to the ceiling. I am thinking of putting the hoist close...
