Sorry I'm late to the party, My pictures were on my office computer. This is how I marked mine out and the finished product. I just cut and bent the flanges. I never welded anything.

The 69 hood has floating plates in the hood and round holes in the hinges for adjusting. The 73-76 hood has fixed inserts in the hood and slotted holes on the hinges for adjusting. I ran one for years. No problem getting it adjusted.

My take is that it was meant to almost match the color of the taillight lenses.

I painted mine with touch up paint from the local auto parts store. It is almost a maroon color, darker than you think.

FWIW my 69 variable speed had the thin wavy washer and the steel clip. I do not remember any black or white nylon clip. I sourced another wiper motor from a later model car, thinking I could switch it out, and found that the shaft diameter was smaller where it keyed into the wiper linkage.

I like it and I think it matches well with the front spoiler.

Finally after more than 10 years I have working back up lights. The repair worked out great.

I do have two original screws. The other two had been replaced by larger diameter wood or sheetmetal screws when the original screws stripped the hole. This is a nice permanent fix which is totally hidden by the housings.

I have been saving a few pics of original cars for reference to use when I paint the lower stripe on my car. Mine is not an original cuda and I painted the stripes on the hood rather than using a vinyl kit.

I used rust converter and JB weld on my back window channel. No problems so far.

I put one in my cuda years ago, mainly so I could use my car cover. It was a generic parts store model I got on sale. The easiest way to install it is to remove the inner fender splash panel. I also had to adapt the factory hold down nut as the supplied one was too small.

Mine is T7, one shade darker. Could be that as well depending on the light.

A buddy of mine actually milled slots between the ribs of 67 barracuda hood inserts and then cut relief holes in the hood underneath to let some underhood air escape.

I opened up a set of butchered stock scoops, with the intention of making them functional, but at the moment they are basically venting underhood air.
