Will a 77 Charger 360 fit in a 65 Valiant Slant Six Painlessly?

Conversion motor mounts, correct exhaust manifolds for the A body, or make Magnum manifolds work, and you will need the transmission from the charger. Larger radiator. A few wiring changes. Upgrade the differential and when you do, you'll need a shortened driveshaft. That's the basics.

    Hypothetical 318 Builds

So for 17 years, I ran a 318 6 pack in my 69 Fury ragtop. Did a simple re-ring and bearings, had the original heads freshened up, double roller chain, HV oil pump, mopar performance repro 68 340 cam, mopar electronic ignition. No idea what horse power or torque it made, but with a 2800 stall...

    Knurled Crank Snout???

The balancer would have been on, holding back 99% of the leak, but I agree, how did it not leak? Did the balancer smash enough of the knurls to act like a non-knurled snout enough to not leak?

    Knurled Crank Snout???

I'm digging the nylon cam gear.... Not! Must be a low milage engine, based on the cam gear being so not broke up yet.

How quickly should oil pressure come up?

Speaking of old stock, how old is too old? Is a 20 yr old still new in the box oil filter too old? Does the filter media break down just from age? Asking for a friend...... lol

    LA vs Magnum pistons

So we've got a complete 74 360 that I had picked up for Josh's 73 Sport "Fred". Planning a stock bore refresh, with a little 340-ish cam. I have a local guy wanting to sell me a set of pistons/rods from a 5.9 magnum. Are the magnum slugs and rods compatible? If so, any benefit? I ask...

    Dipstick anomaly

Easy peasy. Park on level ground. Put in the amount of oil the engine is supposed to be filled with, with the filter. Run it for a few min to make sure the filter gets full. Shut it off and wait 5 min so the oil up top drains back into the pan. Pull the dipstick, wipe it clean and reinsert...

A True Low Dollar Backyard Build

I did the Phoenix stripe kit 7 years ago when the truck was painted. They did not last as long as the originals did, before they started failing.

A True Low Dollar Backyard Build

It's a shame the whole damn truck grew goosebumps all over l, except under the stripes. Removing the stripes leaves a ghost of shelby. Kinda makes me wish I could get an off white shelby stripe kit and make it a ghost effect, since I've slightly modified the truck.

A True Low Dollar Backyard Build

So this past weekend, had both boys out there with me and we finished getting the right side prepped for paint. Today's lunch break was clean up some mess, move some junk and fire it up to back it out so I can turn it around and back it back in. No video, as I'm home alone today. However, for...

A True Low Dollar Backyard Build

Brain fart.... when I found the 12v for ign2 at the back of the connector, my geometric orientation was off when I turned it around and I plugged into the wrong slot..... However, in correcting that, I rediscovered the back feed issue into the starter relay that was mentioned a few posts ago...

A True Low Dollar Backyard Build

A few years ago I swapped from the throttle body to a carb. Had the back feed issue then. Dang truck started itself. LOL. I ended up putting the tbi back on. This time, I found ign1 just fine for start. I picked up a 12v feed by the right fender that stays hot with key on that I thought...

Picked up a battery today. Dropped it in place, hooked it up and turned the key to "run". Fuel pump kicks on - good deal. Let's see if she'll fire off. Had Jake tun the key, had Josh on video duties and that's me at the front. I raised Jake well. Before turning the key, he asked - Oil...

Got the hole cut in the hood a week or so ago. Bled the brakes out today. Dual exhaust kit is ordered. She's close, folks..... put the cart before the horse a little and painted the scoop. Moved it indoors for safe keeping. Still need to finish the throttle and kick down linkage.

Any truth to the practice of BLACK painted parts dissipating heat better?

I can debunk this myth with 2 flavors.... Chocolate ice cream melts faster than vanilla. Not only that, but this......Helped Josh with a 5th grade science fair project 3 years ago. The theme was do light or dark colors get hotter. We painted 4 aluminum panels. White, yellow, green and...

Another garage time lunch hour. My mother-in-law, who thinks I don't even have a job since covid sent a lot ulof home to work, calls it my recess.
