    I agree its crap...for the money you spent seems they would send you a quality part,it may not hurt anything but it's blemished and a 2nd rate part,that's not quality by no means..send it back,but 1st I'd be on the phone raising hell and sending pics...no pride in workmanship and quality control...

    I agree with above,x-heads only if you need for a resto otherwise any 340/360 head will be just as good[and cheaper] than the over-rated x head with same components installed....but 200 bucs no cracks in good shape prob be tempting....your call...

    Prob not with stock cam..I got the same set-up in a 4x4 ramchgr,last yr for the carb,88 model 360,eddy 650, perf intake, 2.5 exh,guessing 250-260hp...it will pull anything,good torque,if I keep it I will install a stock 340 type cam and re-do the 308 heads on it,maybe headers,will def get rid of...

    Yes sir you better tear it down now before more damage occurs,if one hole puked that out what do you think will happens in the others?..dont take a chance on it...you may have got lucky but dont push it,that was a warning of whats to come....

    Check your plug wire sequence you might have it off a wire,chk plugs,chk timing,chk carb and if you have another one known to be good put it on and see if prob is better or worse,coil backwards it wouldnt run but may be cracked and bad,chk vacuum lines and intake gasket...

    If you think you got to have those heads place an ad on here in the 'wanted' section..otherwise scrounge the salvage yards around you and chk craigslist around your area,85-91 dodge pick ups,fifth avenues,diplomats etc with 318's,may have to pull a few valve covers to get the numbers you want...

    Perfect cam for your combo and you can run your stock covertor,the 904 tranny should be fine,good low end torque and mild street manners for your 318 with 302 heads,headers,intake[have you got one or still looking?] 4bbl carb,even if you have to use a factory cast iron 4 bbl intake they work...

    Yes that'd be the 1st thing I done,check rocker arms and pushrods,could be a bent pushrod or a worn out rocker arm,or both, have seen pushrod stuck all the way thru a rocker before and still run fair but popping sound and was in a 318
