Junkyard 5.9 for my 72 Van

You will need an intake that will bolt onto the magnum heads, straight down vertical holes. Can use your distributor. Your exhaust manifolds should bolt up as well. Professional Products 55026 Professional Products CrossWind Intake Manifolds | Summit Racing

360 Magnum Build w/ V Belt Configuration Question

67Dart GTO...I mean GTGO, I have the same intake and planning the same set up. Just pulled fitting out the box, you think it might help a little to trim the fitting down shorter, cut the first 2 barb notches off of the total five, leaving 3 ? I don't think it would hurt. Yours appears fine...

360 Magnum Build w/ V Belt Configuration Question

Is that Promaxx iron head a China cast you think? I know Hughes offers an iron head also, haven't looked up lately.

    Edelbrock 7577 question

Must have come from the factory that way, heater hose already sized at that position like you say. I was confused because mine came differently (like 93ragtop's).

    Edelbrock 7577 question

I wish my was alredy drilled like that, Hughes thought ahead on that FI intake, I agree that's how the arrangement should be for intakes using the Magnum accesories set up, my 7577 will have to be modified to that configuration. May not be the only way, it's the way I will do it. Nothing wrong...

    Edelbrock 7577 question

Rumblefish 360, no accuasations intended, your pic shows exactly what I suggested to 93ragtop, and I'll have to set mine up the same. Did your intake come new with the hose nipple hole that you are using alredy at 3/8"? Ours is 1/8 at that far passenger position. You said you didn't have to...

    Edelbrock 7577 question

Rumblefish360, yes, I should have made reference. Your pic shows the heater hose nipple where a 1/8 npt hole was, pass side of neck.

    Edelbrock 7577 question

If you personally didn't drill and tap the 1/8" npt hole you used for the 3/8" heater hose nipple, who personally tapped it? Trying to understand what you did, I'm confused by what you said.

    Edelbrock 7577 question

Drill and tap the far passenger 1/8 hole (or either to your liking). Plug the one under your bracket. May have to place your fan sensor into one of those add-on inline bungs or a block for that to screw into.

I saw those in the Professional Products brand back when we were initially having conversations. That Blue Print brand is a good deal. Caco 2120 are you running one and can tell us how it worked out? Thanks for the info.

    Magnum gurus needed

Yea, just look for wear at the contact points of rocker to pedestal pivot point and both valve tip and push rod tip contact points. You will have some shine but mine seemed like little too much for me since everything else was going back new, I replaced with new ones. Or buy a good aftermarket...

    Magnum gurus needed

I would have to talk to the person that built it and find out what exactly has been done prior to going any further. The extra hole that's been drilled in the c/shaft counterweight doesn't appear deburred, so what's the overall work quality of the shortblock build and the balancing. One small...
