Projects i built just for fun

I sent you a PM that you didn't respond to, on that add, and made what I thought was a pretty fair offer. I recall you eventually said you planned to burn them all

    Project I don't know lol 66 barracuda

The general lee kit, and the "street charger" kit were both retooled from the petty kit

    Petty chargers

Just barely started on the 73 petty charger, but still finishing up this dodge dart, it's a replica of the real car I built and drove years ago.

    Petty chargers

Definitely NOT a re release kit, it's all new tooling, made in the USA no less!

Did this race car ever exist ??

The earlier version, the 1/4s and door skins look very stockish, the 73-74 one at Dixie speedway the 1/4s and doors look more fabricated from scratch and more "late model" looking

Did this race car ever exist ??

Hard to say how many Petty built to run "in house" Could be perhaps only one car, these things sometimes got re-skinned with different sheet metal within a few months. The one at Dixie speedway is def wearing 73-74 metal, but could be the same car shown in the other pic, which I THINK was taken...

Did this race car ever exist ??

There were different engine "packages" you could choose from. Yes based on the 340, and then there were the "grand national" engines, 340 based but with a lil more stroke. Basically the same stuff they were running in NASCAR by that time. Eventually X block W2 motors. It was more of a local rule...

Did this race car ever exist ??

Lots of the Kit Cars were built at petty enterprises in the early to mid 70s. You could buy parts or they would build the whole car for you. The one Richard raced a few times was also raced by Joe millikan who was a petty employee at the time, with the number 04 and sponsorship from hays jewlers

Did this race car ever exist ??

It was ran at least once at Dixie speedway in Georgia

Did this race car ever exist ??

Richard absolutely DID race that car.......but that model depicts a 70-71 style, and I think the car he actually drove had 73-74 sheetmetal on it. Probally the same car tho.

    List of resin body makers

Biggest issue to ME building resin models, is that they typically have no chrome, bumpers/grilles, and as of yet I haven't seen one that had decent grille detail.. But for some cars, like a 70 swinger, its your only option. I really cant believe no model maker ever released a 1/25 scale 70-72 Dart

    model kits

This was just a "LOOK WHAT I GOT" thread, numerous members PMed with serious cash offers, I should have known it was a sham after he said he was gonna smash all of them after a 75 dollar offer...then I offered $800 on his doors step and he wouldn't even return my PM.... what a joke

    model kits

Just by a resin body, and a AMT 71 duster kit to finish. WAY cheaper, and that orig demon kit has a nice body, buy the rest of the kit sucks. The box would sure look cool on the shelf though
  25. replicaracer43

new A body kits soon to be released

you can get a resin 70 dart body, I have built two of them.... ebay is where I bought mine. I also built a resin demon bought off ebay as well.

    model kits

Steve, if you want the maximum return on your investment, your gonna have to sell them one at a time. You could do that here, but you will get more on ebay. Then you will have to list/package/and ship each one, which takes lots of time. I know serveral of us model building members have PMed you...
