My Daughter drives a 1967 Barracuda with a 273 with 2 bl carb. Points and std distributor . Rebuilt Mopar alternator. She had it repainted in 1989 but does not drive it in the winter here in Minnesota. Her Barracuda is very reliable and does not let her stranded on the road. Easy to work on...

I purchased a kit from NAPA for the 66 Barracuda ps.

I use the short Mopar filter also and works just fine. Why use the adapter with all the leaking .

I did this a number of years ago. I think all that is needed after you remove the 90 degree is to screw in a short fitting that has the filter threads on one end. not a hard job to do. Should be in any 273,318 or 340 block.

I use the MOPAR short filter on the 273. Engine had the 90 degree and I took it off. It works fine.
