    transmission cooler placement

I think it was more of a general question about the ‘68 S/S cars. They were not street cars so IMO they weren’t necessary. They likely were not hot lapping like bracket racers either. Though it wouldn’t have been much, an extra cooler would have added some amount of weight to an already heavy...

    transmission cooler placement

Thanks. If you mount a cooler in the back there generally needs to be a fan on it. Having it in front usually provides enough airflow for the fins but if the cooler is larger it can block airflow to the radiator. If you’re sitting at idle the temp will creep up the same way the cooling system...

    68 Hemi Dart quarter panels...

Cool, nice work! I don't have a Dart at the moment but maybe I need to find one! How are you going to offer these? PDF? I've read more than one source say Hurst used a Coronet front fender opening and turned it around or something like that.

What PARTS did Hurst and Chrysler put in the Super Stock Barracuda & Dart not in other factory cars

Australia too but it was actually used as a driver's side vent because they are right-hand drive.

B029 for sale out in AZ

Just thought I'd pass this along to the Super Stock forum faithful. This car is not mine, I know nothing about it, just found it in a search. Either way, it looks pretty cool. Hope someone goes to check it out. If it's a 'real' S/S car, then the price seems pretty good for this day and age...

    Window straps

Yes, I know that for sure. Looking to see how the belt was attached at the base of the window inside the door and where the snaps were located on the door.

    Window straps

Anyone have pics of how the window straps were configured and worked on the '68 Super Stock cars? Thinking of doing it on my car.

Looking for real 1968 Super Stock Seats

That's too funny. It's actually a perfect rec room thing. The guy I got the seats from must have cleaned out a school or something. Who knows what happened to the other parts. The steering wheels, shifters and pedals would have been cool to find. When I was searching around yesterday, I saw a...

Looking for real 1968 Super Stock Seats

I got them a while ago, like in the late '90s. I paid $140 for the set. They are NOS. They are black. :D Guy had about 10 sets of them in a basement. Didn't really have the money to buy more than one pair at the time. Nor did I have the sense to try and find the money to do so... Dude I got...

SS/B and SS/A Chassis and Suspension

Frame connectors are an interesting point. I am not sure when they started getting installed but I don't believe the original cars had them? Not sure on that though. I've read where the body panels were all out of whack and quarter panels were buckling without them though. Who knows what the...

SS/B and SS/A Chassis and Suspension

Like mentioned, the S/S were pretty straightforward, not a lot of modifications allowed until they morphed into Pro Stock. I know that some of the '73 P/S cars had the front control arms turned around to alter the geometry. They got pretty low around when Jenkins developed the strut front end...

SUPER STOCK BO29 HEMI Barracuda and LO23 Hemi Dart forum

Does he even have a car? You never see him posting about his own junk. Listen, it's his site, he can obviously do what he wants but its clear he has no frame of reference for these cars otherwise we wouldn't be having this conversation and the forum would be up and running. I agree that...

Thanks. Could even memorialize Paul and call it the Paul Cesarine Memorial Super Stock Hemi 'Cuda and Dart Forum, sorta like how the race forum on Moparts is called "Unlawfl's Race and Engine Tech". Just a thought.

Still not getting what the problem is and why the lack of forward motion. Hard to imagine 'the powers that be' would harbor any negativity towards this particular idea. I mean, it's Chrysler factory racing history! They were/are the baddest Super Stock cars on the planet purposely derived from...

Sorry, that makes no sense. Why would you avoid a 'thread' (aka a topic of conversation) on a 'forum' (a place dedicated to people 'communicating' aka 'talking') because there were not enough pictures? Then respond with a cryptic, passive-aggressive reply? :-k

SUPER STOCK BO29 HEMI Barracuda and LO23 Hemi Dart forum

Yeah, I don't get the logic (or lack thereof) for not having a forum for these cars. I would like to hear the reason. If it is a 'lack of server space' then condense some of the redundant forums and get rid of some of the more or less useless ones. I personally see no need for a politics forum...

Restoration of Tom Myl's 1968 Super Stock BO29 Hemi Barracuda

I know I am in the minority here but I think the autographs should go. If authentic is the goal, make it authentic, not sort of authentic. No one signed cars back when these cars were new or even until recently. If you go to the trouble of making it look original/authentic, why leave a modern...
