    Rim and tire fitment question

Frank, these are the 2" rings I put on the 6" rims. A 2.5" would be better, but these work for me and the price was right.

    Rim and tire fitment question

I ordered 2" rings. I know they won't be perfect, but it will be better than nothing. Naturally, the 3" ones I had fit the rear just fine.

    Rim and tire fitment question

I ended up buying Wheel Vintiques Mopar Rallye rims. 15x7 with 4.25 backspacing with 255/60-15 in the back and 15x6 with 3.75 backspacing with 195/65-15 for the front. Plenty of clearance from tire to leaf spring, however, I did have to trim the inner fender lip about 1/4". There was room, but I...

    Rim and tire fitment question

Yes, my mistake. It’s 4.25”. That being said, i ordered the 15x7 Rallye Wheel with the same back spacing. My 255/60’s will be much happier on that sized rim.

    Rim and tire fitment question

Thank you!! If I went with a 245 or 235, I would have more clearance. Unfortunately, I just bought another set of 255's for the rear. Damn it! Lol!

    Rim and tire fitment question

Ok, I'm bad with math! I currently have stock Mopar Rallye rims on my 72 Dart. Large bolt pattern, 15 x 6.5 with 4.5" backspacing and 255/60-15 tires on the rear. They just fit. Clearance from the leaf springs is 1/2", as is the inner fender lip, also. I'd like to get Crager SS's 15 x 7 with a...

    Rust removal

It's called cleaning vinegar and it's made by HDX. It has a higher content of acetic acid than conventional consumable vinegar. It's in the cleaning supplies section and comes in a half gallon bottle. No, I don't dilute it.

    Rust removal

I buy commercial grade cleaning vinegar at Home Dumpy. I soak oxidized carburetors in it. It contains acetic acid. You can also use Coca Cola for iron based metals. I soaked my Rusted Olympic weights in it for a few days. The citric acid works on the rust very well. Rinsed and painted. Done deal!

    Gotta get that stance!

I replied to your PM. The only mod I did was to trim the inner fender lip. 15x8" rim with a 4.5" back spacing. 5 on 4.5 large bolt pattern.

    Gotta get that stance!

Sure, I'll pile on! 225/60-15 in front, 255/60-15 out back.

    Anyone tried these wheels?

Not sure about that back spacing. Would look good on a Rustang. I personally don't care for the style, but to each his own.

Trim rings for 6" wide Rallye Wheels

I plan on getting some 6" rallye wheels for the front thru Summit. I currently have 15 x 7's on the front and want to go skinnier on the tire width.

    Acorn Center Cap Paint?

I'm preparing to repaint the rims on my '72 Dart and purchased a few cans of the Mopar Argent Silver from my Dodge dealer for the rims, however, the acorn center caps take a Light Textured Argent Silver. I was told Krylon Textured Shimmer is pretty close. Any thoughts??
