I'm using the OE 4 Pin Ballast resistor. most people agree that the 4 pin is backwards compatible though.

Then one of us got the correct switch in a DS357 box and the other didn't. I spent too much time on this issue, the DS357 is not the correct switch.

Just to maybe help you. This is the 2 speed wiper motor switch out of my 74 Ramcharger. Part Number 2864152 When You push it (about a 1/4 Movement at most) It triggers the electric washer. Then of course there are 2 clockwise positions for Low/Hi on the wiper speed.

This is good info, because if you grab the entire harness (cable's that go from the Starter to the Battery & to the starter relay) it'll have a nice molded connection on the starter side that will address the clearance issue that people have trying to mount conventional lug type connections on...

That's the Ticket! This is the Standard Motor Products DS165 that I just pulled out of my 74 Ramcharger. Napa part Number HL6571SB also appears to be correct and I'm going to get one of those to put back into the Ramcharger.

I was just doing some cross referencing and realize that this is the same switch for a 74 Dodge Ramcharger (which I have in my garage and has a brand new one in it) so I'm going to go pull it and see if it works better.
