In Sarasota FL it went from $2.57 a Gallon Regular to $3.08 in two days. Supply is spotty, but generally available. I filled the Duster up on Monday and it cost me $40.50 cents in Tampa. When I was 16, I could fill her up for $4.50. That's .28 cents a gallon in 1971. God those were the days...

That looks right for a 72 model

The 71 had a black top as well. I believe the 72's up had the orange one.

The 70-71 models were black with dual openings but no snorkels and the Orange 340 pie pan. the 72 up 340's had the orange one as shown in the link with dual snorkles.

I used National Auto Transport to get my Duster from MI to KS. They were reasonable and worked with me and the seller to coordinate the move. it went very smooth...

I did some further investigation and Ray was correct, the v68 and v88 codes are "stripe delete" codes. There should not be any side or rear deck stripes if these two codes are on the Tag. Ray, thanks for clarifying the ABC codes for me as well on the build specs. I had not looked deep enough...

The exterior color is definetly shown on the tag. Mine is on the second row from the top, 1st series of codes in that line. Depending on your exterior color, it should be as well.

You'll need the build sheet to get that type detail. The fender tag has the option codes and exterior color info, but the buildsheet has the higher level build details it appears you're looking for.

For help decoding your tag, go to the tech archives forumand look for the options code list ADAM posted. You should find most if no all of your codes there. Your bottom row will have your engine and trans codes plus vin & assembly #s
