Lets hear your suggestions for a winch for a car trailer.

I have had a warn M8000 on my trailer for about 17 years now, and it still works great. I have mine mounted to a harbor freight winch plate, and a marine battery is mounted beside it, with a solar trickle charger to keep the battery topped off. I would not even consider using a cheap winch.

Where to put the air compressor?

The best thing is to protect it for the climate you have, and if that is enclosed, well its an air compressor, so it needs air to inhale and exhale. So do not seal the enclosure all the way off, but protect from the elements.

How often do you drain your air compressor?

A simple incadecent trouble light will put off enough heat to keep everything from freezing. I have to put one in my little outside compressor building.

    CAR COVERS ?

I put a car cover made for the vehicle one year on my wifes CJ-5, that sat outside. I now owe the wife a paint job, it destroyed the nice shiny paint on her Jeep. Maybe this winters project is to re-paint her toy.

    Sand Blaster Guns

I have used my HF blast cabinet for years, updated for better lighting, and changed the gun out for one from tractor supply, run about any type of media thru it. Best upgrade is to hook it up to vacuum. My shop air runs thru 3 driers, so no moisture comes thru it.

    Green House

Grew up in a green house, grandparents ran a commercial one, we had about every type. A glass one, which grandma started her plants in, still standing today. That is how I hooked up mine, it will suck the plexi-glass down, but keeps the cabinet clear. But on the down side, ask Santa for a shop vac every Christmas, I on average burn one up at least once a year.

I keep a Milwaukee fuel 1400 ft/lb one behind the seat of my truck. I ran into some really rusted lug nuts on our camper one time with a flat on the side of the road. It took forever to change the flat, after that is when I bought the battery powered impact. I don't use it much, but it is...

    Small mig welder

Holbert 140 is a great little welder for the money. The day I bought mine, I also bought the gas bottle $135 from the local welding shop. And put on the larger diameter spool of ER70 .030" wire, the larger spool will not jump like the small spools do.
